2022 NCAA Tournament

Petizian gave up a total of 9 goals in 6 games against Oswego (3 games), Plattsburgh (2 games), and Utica (1 game, a 3-0 shutout). (The Babson game alone is a sample of 1. Same thing with UNE's Utica game. You know what that means in statistics...) Petizian has a higher save percentage and lower goals against average over the course of the season than Girard. Given how Girard has played of late, I'd say it's a draw. Both are capable of stellar performances.

Ok I will give u the wash..let the Game tomorrow work it out.what in ur opinion is Geneseo's biggest weakness going into this Game?

np....I hope people that know these teams better than I do can add any relevant information for the Game.

Well, I think we can put the goaltending question to rest for now. Geneseo shot the puck extremely well in the first period, then things just kind of fell apart for Girard. His team obviously let him down as well. I'm sure he'll bounce back. Geneseo really struggled in their first trip to the Frozen Four as well.

Hard to argue that it’s come down to the 2 best teams in the country. I expect a high scoring one.

I’ll go out on a limb and say the opposite. It will be a tightly defended low scoring affair. Geneseo could outgun UNE but I don’t think they want to play the same kind of game against Adrian. I think both teams tighten it up and we see a close one.

Speed.....Speed.....Speed.......Geneseo "le abbondanza" with the Speed....One of the greatest athletic gifts a kid could get. Mom? Dad? Santa? You are either gifted speed at birth or you are not. You can improve Quicknesss but Speed? "No, mi dispiace"........

Best Player Stat Line for Geneseo last night:

#11 Alex Wilkins 1-1-2 4 Blocks and a +2. "el Coraje" with talent...

Hon Mention:

#19 Dan Bosio 2-1-3 1 Block...umm this kid is a great scorer and shooter. That 1st Goal was off a mini high-low cycle which I wish more teams would try as they are extremely dangerous to defend. Very confusing for defense.

#55 Peter Morgan 2-0-2 no blocks but the 5'6 160lb speedster is an absolute dangerman in that O Zone both when on offense and especially Puck Hunting and Retrieving after Shots.

Geneseo impressed me all over again last night with another great Game. Just a fun and entertaining style to watch and it takes sack to play like that in an NCAA Semi as most teams would have dug in defensively. Now today against Adrian I think Adrian will be worried about Geneseo's Speed but will try too aggressively Forecheck and will want to get physical early to send a message to Geneseo that hey if you want to come into the middle of the Ice you will pay a price. Both teams were exceptional in the Neutral Zone yesterday disrupting their opponents and creating tons of giveaway's. National Championship Game and both teams looking for their School's first Title. In the year 2047 one of these teams will be coming back for the 25 year reunion of their Championship run maybe even in front of their own kid playing for their alma mater. Geneseo 3-2 OT

I think I'm going to bring my son down for the game tonight. We'll be the ones in the Plattsburgh State jerseys rooting for Geneseo!
