2016 MLB Season - Curses, foiled again?

Actually, the article said that they aren't even allowed to pay face value for the seats. It's because the Cubs were offering tickets to purchase at face value. Which is ridiculous. If it was about giving them tickets, then I could understand.

ETA: At the end of the article it says the politicians could get fined $1000-$5000 if found in violation. So, you pay $175 for two tickets, that's $350. Plus, let's go for the max fine of $5,000. That comes to $5,350. For two tickets. Which is probably cheaper than what the cost of two tickets on Stub Hub are going for. I say they should do it!
SRO tickets on StubHub right now start at $2200 for Wrigley. Based on that I'd agree, buy the ticket and pay the fine!

Bases loaded, 0 out....Cubs do nothing against Miller.

There's your Game 1, folks.

Cubs will have the starting pitching advantage for games 2 and 3. So we'll see if they can take advantage of that with some run support.

That's what the pundits claimed when the Red Sox trotted out Porcello and Price against Cleveland.

Game 1 felt like a must win for Cleveland. Their ace on the mound, at home.

Game 2 now feels like a must win for the Cubs. The don't want to go down 2-0, having thrown both Lester and Arrieta, even if they are going back home. Assuming the Cubs win Game 2, it'll start looking like a 7 game series.

If I'm Cleveland I throw Kluber for game 4 and 7. None of this nonsense rotation management that happens during the season.

If it's 2-1 Cleveland, I'd send him on Game 5 on full rest. Game 7 is an all hands on deck game anyway. As Casey Stengel said, he's got all winter to rest his arm after that.

I'm not risking a 4th starter that may send us back to a tie series. I want my best trying to give us a 3-1 lead.

Cubs win Game 2.

Wrigley will be a madhouse Friday.

Wind howling out at Wrigley. This could be a 15-13 final if neither pitcher keeps the ball down.
