Does the President, a White Sox fan, throw out the 1st pitch in game 3?

All I got out of this is an extended game of GUNSHOTS OR FIREWORKS

So... The last time the Cubs went to the WS, it was halfway back to slavery.

Stuff stolen from Fark:

- Vin Scully's entire broadcast career fits between the last two Cubs pennants.
- Game 1 will be the first Cubs World Series game ever broadcast on television.

Trump was right about Chicago. A bunch of black and latino guys throwing objects and swinging clubs has turned the city into pandemonium.

Watching the post game, there's gonna be plenty of workers earning a lot of OT this week...

From MLB

Veteran umpire John Hirschbeck will serve as crew chief for the 2016 World Series, which begins Tuesday in Cleveland.

Hirschbeck's crew will include Chris Guccione, Sam Holbrook, Marvin Hudson, Tony Randazzo and regular-season crew chiefs Larry Vanover and Joe West. All seven umpires, a group that includes two rotating replay officials, have worked this postseason.

There's a petition to replace Joe Buck with Bob Uecker for the Series. Joe Buck tweets that he would love to have him in the booth.

Something a little sad about this series. Either we lose the Lovable Losers or that opening scene in Major League loses a bit of its charm.

The Cubs have already lost the lovable losers label. That was for failure to make the Series, not win it. Might as well go all out and win it.

Actually, the article said that they aren't even allowed to pay face value for the seats. It's because the Cubs were offering tickets to purchase at face value. Which is ridiculous. If it was about giving them tickets, then I could understand.

ETA: At the end of the article it says the politicians could get fined $1000-$5000 if found in violation. So, you pay $175 for two tickets, that's $350. Plus, let's go for the max fine of $5,000. That comes to $5,350. For two tickets. Which is probably cheaper than what the cost of two tickets on Stub Hub are going for. I say they should do it!
