And AGon does some of the excuse mongering that hurt his image in Boston. He may have been safe; looked like it to me. But sorry, trying to say that call was the reason his team lost by eight runs was a huge stretch.

It was a bang-bang play that wasn't going to be overturned regardless of the call. Now, with Angel Hernandez behind the plate making the call in the first place, you would assume that he got it wrong, but still...

Holy shiat the Dodgers are slow...2 hours and we're only through 4 innings in a 1-1 game.

Felt like one of those west coast games that start at 10:00 Eastern.

Dodgers have a right to feel unlucky -- not cheated, but unlucky. Seemed like all of the close calls were correct, but went against them. Several of them involved AGon, and after the other night I thought we'd see a hissy fit, but to his credit, we didn't.

Director is already at it for FOX. If you've got gray hair, glasses, and a Cubs hat you're getting on TV...

I'm just happy it's now impossible for it to be 3-0 to start the 8th inning...

Hendricks has faced the minimum through 6. Gave up a hit on the first pitch, erased that one on a double play on pitch two, and erased baez's error with a pickoff. Otherwise it's been a lot of zeros.

Hendricks out after a one out single in the 8th, but Chapman gets the 463 double play. Cubs have still faced the minimum through eight.

And I'm out for the night. I'll either be dead of heartbreak or celebrating my *** off in about 15 minutes.
