It's funny watching these scenes from Wrigleyville after Game 1. Gives my prediction of a giant bonfire from The Loop to Rockford if the Cubs win the WS merit...

This city will totally burn to the ground in that event!

** The crowd behind the FS1 Stage was chanting for A-rod. When he acknowledged them they started chanting "Hall of Fame!"... Yep, Cubs fans drunkenness in a nutshell folks :p

I personally like the spin that Chapman was the one who blew the top of the eighth, as though he didn't come in with the bases loaded and no one out and proceed to almost get out of it unscathed.

Hell, his position in the batting order won them the game....

Joe Buck called Montero the "Game One hero"... As much as I want Buck to eat his words, I don't think it'll happen...

Joe Buck is brutally bad. Not quite Hawk Harrelson bad, but it's closer than any national broadcaster has the right to be.

12 years ago today, Dave Roberts stole second, then scored the tying run against the Yankees. 3 innings later, Ortiz would hit a walk off, assuring game 5.

They haven't scored in 14 innings. That's the problem right there.

What a farking horrible throw by a guy in there solely for his defense.

Football may not know what a catch is, but at least their replay review calls make sense. So many baseball reviews leave me scratching my head.
