You would have expected something different from these two teams?
Looks like a fair amount of questionable goaltending tonight across D1....
I also saw that Cornell scored not 1 but 2 shorthanded goals on the same Clarkson power play!!! How does that possibly happen at the college level with two good teams on the ice?

They already did that earlier this year though.
BC very nearly scored a SHG on a 3 on 5 tonight, it was a breakaway where they got two shots but both were stopped.

A very impressive 4 for 4 on the pp. 12 goals on 48 shots, yikes! I probably could have had a better save % than that.

maybe not. If I was one of their tenders I'd bring the D to court for failure to support. Most of those goals came after nifty passing plays put the puck on a stick that was unguarded. Not really sure what happened as the Huskies didn't look that bad. Usually in big blow outs the loser looks slow and disorganized SCSU didn't so it might just have been an exception performance by the Gophers. I was just saying last night before the game that the team really needed to figure out how to get more goals!

About halfway through the 41-0 year MN had more shorthanded goals than goals against. Large numbers of SHGs indicate very fast players on the kill who also have a good view of the game. Maybe BC has some of those?

Probably because Bemidji finally had to play two weekends in a row (yes, yes I know they've done it before.) I will be interested to see how they perform over Christmas when most other teams give themselves an extended break. They haven't needed to play well for more than three weeks at a time yet. The next month will be a real testament to how conditioned and how quick they are to bounce back after a series and refocus on the next opponent
