2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

BC 5 Vermont 2. Terrible first period for the Eagles, going 1-0 down yet again (though only for seven seconds!) and being outshot, which never happens. They pulled it together nicely after that though.

Really shocking to see RMU winning 4-0 with some lucky bounces and pp when for the most part QU has dominated play and puck control...crap happens :\

After 2 periods, RPI leads Union 2-0, looking for the weekend sweep which would give them 7 points in last 4 games.

Don't know if you were watching the same game as I was. 5-1 final is not an "almost" had it game. In the game QU's goalie (a top 5 GA player) was yanked, the shot count was fairly even, as were penalties (8 RMU, 7 QU). Even strength play was back and forth with each team having its share of momentum shifts. Overall, good effort by RMU in a game where there was a lot riding on the outcome.

This was my first time in Matthews in a year and I was reminded what a great venue it was.

As it also was in its pre-incarnation as the Boston Arena back in the 'Fifties when I was standing on the radiators back behind the seats in order to get a glimpse of high school hockey games going on.

Minnesota had a 1-0 lead after the first in Mankato. Have opened it up to a 4-0 lead in the 2nd at All Seasons. Stands look slightly more packed than the game at TCF. ;)

5-0 Gophers at the end of two.

UNH pulls out 3-2 win late in third over Connecticut.

Question -- how is it that this is North Dakota's first game without their Olympians?

EDIT: Okay, it's because they aren't Canadian/American players who take the year off.

More important question: How is it that none of us out east knew that NoDak was losing several of their best players? They're going to have a rough month, no?
