2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Anyone else enjoying The Great Terrier Collapse Of 2014?

With the huge roster turnover that we had this year, I think the team definitely overachieved and exceeded expectations in the 1st half. I thought last weekend's losses weren't too out of the ordinary given PC and NU are both very competitive teams and was a matter of the season starting to even itself out. With that said, I am definitely surprised by the sweep by UVM. I think the lack of depth and experience is starting to hurt us (losing Tutino for the season was a big blow).

Surely someone somewhere can say something about Carmen MacDonald's 51 saves against Cornell Friday night! (Don't see a Saints thread.)

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Sowchuk has given Wisconsin a 1-0 lead over UMD after one. PP goal.

McParland playing D?

No scoring in the 2nd between UW and UMD. Still 1-0 UW after two.

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

About 13 minutes to go in Madison. UMD still unable to get on the board. Remains 1-0 UW.

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

UMD comes up empty on a PP opportunity. Under eight to go still 1-0 UW.

Are you someone somewhere.....well there you go, done.

Just looking for some eyewitness account, with no obvious thread, of what seems like a special hockey moment, presumably of some interest to most fans; instead get this??

BU 2 UConn 1. Sighs of relief from the less pretty end of Comm Ave.

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Whole bunch of scores... Just going to list them out here, plus some recaps I've already written elsewhere.

#1 Minnesota 5, #3/4 North Dakota 1 - Freshman Kate Schipper broke a 1-1 tie after the first period with not one but TWO goals early in the second period, just 2:21 apart. Amanda Leveille made 31 saves in net. Minnesota was 3-for-3 on the power play.

#2 Wisconsin idle (all weekend)
#5/3 Harvard 3, Princeton 2
#4/5 Clarkson 5, Union 0
#6 Cornell 6, Yale 3
#7 Boston College idle (play tomorrow)
#8 Robert Morris 6, Lindenwood 1
#9 Quinnipiac 3, Dartmouth 1
#10 Mercyhurst 3, Syracuse 2

Minnesota-Duluth 5, Bemidji State 3 - The Beavers cut a 4-1 UMD lead to 4-3 but could get no closer as the Bulldogs added an empty-net tally at the end. Ashleigh Brykaliuk and Meghan Huertas each scored twice for UMD.

Ohio State 4, St. Cloud State 1 - Taylor Kuehl, Julia McKinnon, and Claudia Kepler each recorded a goal and an assist and Sara Schmitt dished out 3 assists as the Buckeyes lit the lamp three times in the second period.

Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread

Holy smokes, over 5,800 for the Minnesota-North Dakota game according to the box score. Well done Grand Forks. Not many men's games drew that well tonight.

BC up 4-0 on Providence after 2. Skarupa back on and with two goals. Field gets a sick breakaway goal for her hundredth career point.

Upset alert? RMU started their backup goaltender for the first time in a while and trails Lindenwood, 1-0, late in the first.
