Re: 2013-2014 D-I Scores and Results Updates Thread
Is there some sort of Hockey East rule against BC fans cheering unless they score? Even right after a BC goals, BU fans are still making more noise.
Well, the only BC fans cheering are, I'm assuming, the band. They band isn't usually at games.
Then there is that whole feature of dimming the lights right after to make it impossible for those watching online to get the numbers of the players involved.
Do what I do, have the live box open while you watch! Also our video feed is too grainy to get player numbers most of the time anyway.
As near as I can tell from the perfectly fine audio stream from the arena the crowd is pretty overwhelming partisan BU.
My original guess was that BU might have sent a decent contingent of fans to this game after being K.O.'d of the men's version last night. Upon thinking it over it might have just been their band who is usually pretty vocal.
After all the caterwauling from BC (I mean you TTT-20) fans I am a bit surprised to find a "let's go Terriers" crowd in the BC arena.
Yeah, well, I wasn't there to help balance things out
The BC fans were very sparse. No sign of TTT21 or the old regulars
It's really difficult for me to leave work early, get to Conte for an 8pm game, and then immediately drive home and go to work on no sleep. I'm two hours away. It's sad.
Haven't seen you in ages though, you should come to the UConn game this weekend.
Also Joe had some late legislative session thing at the state house so he was working late and couldn't make it. He was following along online.
Do BC students even know there is a women's team?
Not really, no.
Just heard what sounded like a half dozen or so voices raising a cry of "Let's go Eagles".
Probably the band.
Followed shortly by a Skarupa goal for 4-1.
Woo
What's the deal with the band?
Does BU get to bring a band without informing BC that they are going to do so?
I'm sure they planned it out. BU's band is just more vocal than ours.
And is this how Grant got started with bringing his diminutive horn to the game, because it was sorta unofficial anyway?
It's a full-sized trumpet with tightly wound tubing so it's (way, way, way) more compact. It's a lot easier to sneak into hockey arenas than a real one
But yes -- I was in the band, but the pep band never did women's hockey games, so I brought my trumpet and played.
