BC fans have to take comfort in that the loss gives them Clarkson instead of Wisconsin, right?

Why would that give them any comfort?
If Ambrose is not able to go again, I agree it gives BC an edge. Given she was walking on crutches and a boot with a high ankle sprain, that is something you don't recover from in a short period of time. If Ambrose plays to her full potential, the game is a toss up IMHO.
I agree about the Ambrose injury, I'm just wondering if the OP was somehow implying that CCT was inferior to Wisconsin.
That heavily depends upon whether the team sent to Madison ends up playing the same Wisconsin team that went up to Bemidji. If it is, expect an upset.
I felt all year Wisconsin was definitely the #2 team. The 3rd period of the 4th game against the Gophers they finally looked 'beaten'. I figured it was just a temporary thing and they'd rebound and maybe even be better for having learned from playing the Gophers, like I expected the Gophers to be better from playing Wisconsin.
But it seems they haven't rebounded from those losses to Minn.
Cornell's defense looked horrible on Saturday but they played an excellent, smothering team defense today. Clarkson's offense was running on all cylinders on Saturday and you take out one cog in Ambrose and they managed 1 quality scoring chance on Sunday.
Agree with that assessment. Cornell struggled defensively against Harvard, but Today they looked like a confident team. My hats off to Saulnier, she was a beast out there both yesterday and today. She won tourney MVP, well deserved. Yesterday once Cornell was behind 4-2, she took the team on her shoulders and engineered a great comeback. She was on a mission in the first period today, but by far the best play she made was on defensive back check to deny Clarkson an almost free chance at net. To me that was the play of the game.
Answer to the question is "yes", but there's still a wide open question about which team they'd actually bump. My money is on Quinnipiac being out and Mercyhurst in.soooo....with BU yanking the conference championship out from under BC, does that give them an auto bid because they were non ranked going into the weekend? That would bump Mercyhurst out
my thoughts exactly
still , I would not underestimate them, I give them as good a chance as anybody to unseat the Gophers
How 'bout the "host" component of the formula... ?Answer to the question is "yes", but there's still a wide open question about which team they'd actually bump. My money is on Quinnipiac being out and Mercyhurst in.
