Just saw a tidbit where he is saying there is no global climate change. It is a conspiracy with the scientists. Yikes. Tell that to all your consituents dude.

That's how he got elected. It's Texas. The Universe is 6000 years old, only white Texans died at the Alamo, evolution is a lie, the Civil War was a valiant fight against an oppressive federal gov't for states rights, and so on. (Their school board was such a travesty.)

Lets say I showed you a map of the Far East around 1920 and then a map of the same Far East in 1995. The only information you have is that there was one major war and one brush war fought between the white man and the orientals.

Who won?

I wonder, if after the all the dust settles in Europe, if Germany is going to be THE dominant power on the European continent. Then England goes back to her long time foreign policy of aligning herself with the second most powerful country. We will live in interesting times.

So? Is that supposed to be in support of his contention that there are no lessons to be learned from the Third Reich? There are many lessons to be learned, and I think he understands that. He just doesn't want me to ever suggest one. With him it's personal. The Germans seem to understand that, because it's my understanding that all these years later it's still illegal to show or own a copy of "Triumph of the Will." They must think there's some lesson to be learned. No?

Whats worse is posters I do like like Slap Shot and Scooby just look like idiots when they argue against him. It is like they think he is just being irrational and if they make their point well enough he will calm down or concede. HE WONT! It is not part of his schtick, it wont let him get a rise out of them so he has no interest in it. They arent even fighting a losing battle, they already lost just by showing up. It is like when you try and push open a door with a "Pull" sign on it...you just look more and more like a moron the more you do it and it is getting you nowhere! (and ceases to be enjoyable to watch after about 20 seconds)
