2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Yeah, that was ill-advised. Scott even fixed his hair before he started throwing. Hilarious.

I wish Stoner was back, though.

And here I thought that they taught slap-fighting and hair-pulling at Tech......

Great W by the Wild, and a great four game homestand. Looking for another win tomorrow.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Finally, Wild hockey is exciting.
The 2nd period brought flashbacks of JLM, but I was glad to see them gut it out and give us a hell of a ride in the 3rd.
Was that one of the pinky and the brain twins cannucking (slashing and running) Boogie at the end of the game?
During a TV timeout in the 3rd, the video board brought up the split screen with each Sedin and subsequent Pinky or Brain (yes, I think they've done this before) ;)
I am going to be one sad panda when they trade Nolan.

Mittens was on fire tonight.
1. The kid sitting behind us will be VERY sad when Nolan must be traded (as will I :( )
2. It was GREAT seeing Mittens get a couple in the back of the net, finally.

That was a fun game to go to :D

John Scott is effing awesome.
1. THAT! :D
2. Wow. Just wow. What a beat down

I didn't watch the whole game, but that was a pretty disappointing effort. Dam cheap play by Oshie too. Did he learn the slew foot from Hakstol?

The Wild were absolutely awful last night. St. Louis should actually be embarassed that they won by only one goal.

That was the best rendition of a slew foot I have seen in years. Good to know it is merely "holding" now.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The only bright spot at St. Loo was Harding. He played a solid game; true, the Blues didn't really test him every one of those 37 shots, but he kept the team in it and they had plenty of opportunities in the 3rd they couldn't convert.

I've got to imagine they are coming down off of quite a high from the last 4 games at home. Not an excuse, but they sure looked tired. Justly, they have the day off in Glendale.

Did you learn to rape children from your dad? That question makes about as much sense given Hakstol never slew foot anyone.

Do you know that for a fact? You watched his whole playing career? I just figured since most Flickertail fans give the UND staff credit for developing Oshie, it must follow that he learned his cheap shots from them too.

Oh I figured you were talking out your arse because you just wanted to rip on Oshie. My mistake.

Yeah, get it right. I was talking out of my arse to rip on both Oshie and Hakstol!

It was much like any of your posts. :p

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Wild pretty much looking like chit in the desert; down 5-1 at one point (sound familiar).

LATS just netted a hattie to bring it to 5-4

4:00 left.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

No dice.

6-4 final; not an ENG.

EDIT: Latendresse's first career hat trick. Best. Trade. Ever. (even though they lost another one).

Time to beat the Dallas Stars on Monday to finally win one on the road in 2010.

It was tough trying to remind myself that comebacks like that don't happen twice in a season too often.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Funny part about the deal is that Pouliot is playing pretty well for Montreal. It's shocking that this deal is turning out to be mutually beneficial (albeit more in Minnesota's favor).

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The Wild cannot afford to let this losing streak continue should they want to keep Nolan and gain the playoffs.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Was at the game in phoenix tonight. Turned into a good game in the third. The Wild looked horrible in the first period and about half of the 2nd.

Had to root for the Coyotes....as they had one of the best promotions I have heard of.."We win, you win." Since the Coyotes won tonight, everyone in attendence got a free ticket to a future coyotes game.

So we paid 40 bucks for 2 tickets (buy one get one free coupon)
Recieved Shane Doan bobblehead
Recieved free ticket to future game..

and best of all will get a free taco bell burrito tomorrow since they scored more than three goals.

Majority of the game, the wild looked bad. The Coyotes went into prevent mode and took dumb penalties to let them back in.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

I was just glad that they looked alright in the third. Best they have looked on the road so far this year. Hopefully it continues and they can piece together 60 minutes of it soon.
