2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Russo's article today about Gonchar and blows to the head in general:

You ever had an opinion, but it sucks so you try and justify it using all sorts of strange circular logic and you just keep digging the hole deeper and deeper...that is what I got from the quotes out of CC. That may be giving him too much credit but that is how it seemed to me anyways.

Just curious, in Coyotes/Wild game last night...one of the Wild players lost their helmet...I thought play would stop, but he stayed on the ice playin defense and the ref's let play continue....shouldn't play stop there for safety reasons?

IIRC that's a college rule.

Only for goalies. It's different in college, but in the pros they only stop play if a goalie loses his lid.

As ajoyce said if the goalie loses their helmet, play stops immediately.

Had to root for the Coyotes....as they had one of the best promotions I have heard of.."We win, you win." Since the Coyotes won tonight, everyone in attendence got a free ticket to a future coyotes game.

And they're losing money? Surely you jest. ;)

no..was a promo they were doing...to fill the stands I'm guessing. There were nearly 13,000 people there last night..by far the biggest coyotes crowd I've ever seen. still along ways to go though....could probably have heard a pin drop in there most of the game.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The same lame duck road team that was in St. Lou and Phoenix has shown up in Dallas through 2 periods. Down 4-1 with some PP time to start the 3rd.

"High"lights:
--Backs is like the 4th or 5th starting goalie to be pulled in all NHL game today.
--Harding gets in a scrum with Steve Ott
--Sykora is a -1 and was in the box for the Modano PPG

Good stuff

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Well I think this is what we have to expect...up and down especially while they continue to rack up games lost by injuries. They have already exceeded my expectations so I am not going to get too upset unless they totally tank it. The Olympic break is going to be very helpful.

4-2 Dalless

You have to love that they always find a way to get back into it. Think what will happen when they are actually close to full strength

We are the "Antti-Winners!"

Yeah it is lame I dont care! :D

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

I will never say a bad thing about Boogaard again if he grabs Crawford by the neck and punches him until he goes into a coma. The guy is a cancer to hockey!

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Another comeback not meant to be and another 1 goal game in the books. Maybe as you suggest, Handy, when the team is full strength they will learn to not get so far behind every game ;)

Maybe they just think since the wild spent ****ed near a decade boring us to sleep they need to find as many ways as possible to get us excited and who doesnt love a comeback :p
