2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The last 8 minutes have been just fantastic

The Wild turned on the jets and dominated. Sure they are getting a loss but man they showed a ton of heart and it was fun to watch!

If someone made a similar baseball related comment about the Twins you'd have mocked them.

Just to point out the obvious difference here: certain sects of Twins fans haven't been complaining about "boring" baseball (that's a relative term) for the last decade...

I am sorry, but have the Twins changed their coach or how they run their team in the past 10 years? No? Then I am sorry but I will just "Nice Try" and show you on your way. The Twins get credit from the fans for being just good enough to win a mediocre division every year and because they won a WS before the current crop of college freshmen were born. (how sad is that...god I feel old) No one expects them to change the status quo because ****ed if they arent plucky! The Wild actually did something proactive to improve on what they had, they get credit (from me) and the Twins dont plain and simple.

If you can't see that the situations don't even come close to being parallel then it isnt worth furthering the discussion. Here is where you say "Lighten up Francis".

Your ability to rant has really gone downhill. :p

n.s. Sherlock. Jebus Handy take it easy. Have I said anything in this thread since the season began that takes a shot at the Wild? In fact I bet you could find several posts that express nothing but optimism from me. All I did was see an opportunity for some levity and took it. My apologies for assuming the grossly brief comment with a wink would not be enough to resurrect the ghosts of Francis past. :D

Owen Nolan is the man. Great play to get him the puck and Nolan puts it upstairs where grandma keeps the cookies.
