2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

How about them Wild? It's like Christmas for me this year having a watchable NHL franchise in town.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Even Havlat is playing better and teaming him up with Bill Latendresse might just work out pretty well.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The Latendresse-Brodziak-Havlat line was easily the toughest--if not the outright best--of the night.

It may have been a tired, dejected Blue Jacket's team, but from our seats, I watched Latendresse move the puck through traffic with ease. I'm glad he got the goal off the sweet Koviu pass; he deserved it with the way he was walking out in front all night [early, at least]. I didn't pay any attention to him in Montreal, so I have no first hand comparison. However, here, he seems to be playing like the big boy he is. It has been fun to watch.

I'm not sure what slowed the team down later in the game, but whatever it was it affected both teams. Zidlicky's shot was a rocket--I never saw the puck in the net  I did notice Captain Koivu's great face-off win and battle to move it to the point... Then all I saw was the water bottle pop and Mason turn around, but that was enough

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

What made last night even better was Edmonton, Colorado, and Calgary all losing in regulation.

We're in fourth! :p

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

3-1 win over the Habs.

Montreal with great pressure for the entire second and much of the third. Backstrom, Zanon, and Zidlicky were the biggest reasons we were able to weather those extended periods of ownage.

10-2-1 since Nov. 20, tied for best in the NHL with Pittsburgh.

I am pleasantly surprised how well this team has been playing lately. Who knows if they can keep it up, but as far as I'm concerned any success the Wild have this season is a bonus.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Apparantly the Montreal fans don't like the fact that The Tenderness is finally showing some of his potential, and he's doing it as a member of another team. :)

And the fact that they guy we gave them was demoted to the AHL almost instantly.

And the fact that they've lost 5 games in a row at home.

Silly Canadians. :D

w.t.f.

How does a hockey gear just spontaneously combust? Hopefully the league figures out some way to deal with this problem so they don't have to forfeit.

There's no way they're going to forfeit, the game will almost certainly end up postponed though.

I'm on standby should the league find a way to dick over the Wild.

Maybe Habs fans really are ****ed off about the Bill trade...you'd think they would have done this before the team left Montreal...:p
