2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

We are about to head to OT...

If this is what we will see from now on I think the wild are going to be quite popular in this town :D

So the question is...what High School did Todd Richards go to? ;)

I love the Best Buy commercials with Peyton Manning and Justin Timberlake...yeah I said it!

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

The Wild deserved to win...what a great game they played!

I have a feeling Havlatt is about to go on a tear!

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Watching the game last night, I hardly recognize this team compared to the one we saw saw even just a month ago.

It was an outstanding effort, it's too bad Calgary managed to get a point out f the game anyway, but what a great effort from the Wild. It's about time they went and did something in the Saddledome.

How good is Finland's goaltending going to be at the Olympics?

It's unknown if Kiprusoff is even going to participate in the Olympics as he might use the time to recharge his batteries and rest up. That said, going in with Backstrom and Niittymaki isn't too bad. Just so long as they keep Vesa Toskala far, far away from Vancouver they'll be OK. :D

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

If Kiprusoff doesn't play, I'd think he would be. If Kipper does play, I think he's on the outside looking in. Niittymaki took Finland to a silver four years ago and damm near beat Sweden. He was unreal.

Well I think I was assuming Kipper is going to sit this one out for Rask to be the third stringer.

Is that the general thought that he isn't going to play? I guess I hadn't really heard much about that. I can understand wanting to have some days off, but at the same time I would think a guy like that would be wanting to play for his country.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing him sit out, but even then Finland's going to be pretty darn good in net.

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

So it is highsticking on the Wild if the Vancouver player lifts the Wild player's stick and it hits him in the face? Riiiiiiiiiiiight.

Not a good night for the officials...but an even worse night for the Wild PK as it has given up 3 PPGs. Harding has been going down quicker than a $10 hooker on 1st Ave. ;)

Maybe one day the NHL will finally reallign and make the divisions make sense...I hate the Western Canada road trip!

It is getting harder and harder to trade the one thing we know will be traded in March... In this case, I guess I won't blame Fletch for doing what Riser would do and just letting him walk for nothing.

As I said on HockeyWilderness, a bag of pucks and some un-scratched lottery tickets are looking pretty good for Harding right now... :( :o

I liike how i can watch 3rd peroid hockey after college hockey

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Especially with how we always have an effing back-to-back screwjob with it. Ridiculous.

The only thing worse is when they have the long road trip where they play 2 or 3 teams in California THEN the Canada trio of Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary. Yes when I think of the teams the Wild should be playing regularly those are it!

BRING BACK THE NORRIS!

Re: 2009-2010: Official Minnesota Wild Thread

Don't worry, the Canucks will get theirs soon enough as they'll be away from home for something like a month and a half thanks to the Olympics.
