Beauty of a Boogaard reference.:D

I remember GLM saying Miro Satan wouldn't be much an impact player for the Bruins when they signed him....

On a team that is comically lacking in offensive players, someone has to "fill the net" - voila. The Aristocrats!

Also...

RS: 38 games, 9-5-14.
Playoffs: 6 games, 2-3-5.

Woo, sign him up for three more years.

Ugh. I'll take Edwards any day of the week.

Honestly, I don't think he's all that intolerable. I can deal with his homerism and hyperbole, because, all of that aside, he really does call a good game. And, his stupid little sayings are hilarious.

"RYAN MILLER IS THE WIZARD TONIGHT!"

I'm not even sure what that means, but it was great. :D

Begin the resurrection of Fred Cusick.

Edwards' bizarre sayings are hilarious, but he tends to go over board as a homer while still strangely rooting for the opposing team. I can't get a read on him at all. He was going to go insane last night if the Bruins won or lost...

as far as being a homer goes, he's not even in the same zip code as Tommy "These Guys are HORRIBLE" Heihnsohn or the Brown Anti-ECAC Officiating Show. Edwards is just a loon. If it doesn't work out here, he can cover for Frank or the Wooger.

The Bruins haven't been the Bruins since Cusick, Sanderson, WSBK, and the Gahden. :(

Yep.

But nothing is more of a throwback for Bruins fans that actually advancing to th second round. Sadly, that usually means losing in round 2.

So, who else is ready for a nice 5 overtime game tomorrow in the desert?

Me!

I sure hope Shane Doan is able to go tonight. For all he's done for this franchise over the years when it was lousy, for him to miss out would be very unfortunate. Sounds like he's a gametime decision.

I didn't say he was going to be God. I just thought it was a good signing because of the fact Boston lacked anyone that could fill the net. At the very least he gave them another option.

Back pedaling is fun!

Looking forward to Phoenix-Detroit tonight. Go Coyotes!

I brought this stat up somewhere last night, and was a little conservative. Halak's record when seeing 40+ shots: 9-0-1. That's a pretty odd factoid.

Also, should Montreal become the first 8 seed in NHL history to rally from a 3-1 deficit, their series with Pittsburgh would begin on Saturday.

On Hockey Night In Canada, no doubt.

Names being tossed around for the vacant Devils job: Ken Hitchcock and Michel Therrien. It's like the Devils learned nothing about what happened with JL in charge. The team has a butt full of offensive players yet they're more concerned about defense.

Savard cleared to play...that's exciting stuff. Looking forward to going to Home Game 1 in the Semis, got my tickets a little bit ago!!

Hmm... assuming Washington holds on in game 7, we've got Boston v. Pittsburgh in round two.

What are the odds that someone popsicles Matt Cooke at some point during the series?

Autotune is evil. I'd rather listen to get ready for this on a constant loop.

Tonight's gonna be a good good night as soon as the d--- puck is dropped. And there it is. Underway in the desert.

Ilya has been unreal so far, Detroit has had some chances on the PP

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

So far, it's been the same old song and dance of the series. Detroit dominates the first period, gets some chances, but nothing going in. They've gotta get more traffic in front and/or start tipping pucks, because Ilya isn't letting anything easy past him.
