Random intermission thought:

Price and both Kostitsyns to Edmonton for the first overall pick. Edmonton gets their goalie of the future, and little Kostistyn gets reunited with Cogliano.

Don't think even John Ferguson Jr. would make that one! :D

And will Cogliano even be an Oiler in the fall?

Edmund Fitzgerald? Gitchee-Gumee?

How do Bruins fans stand 82 games of this *******?

It's tough. Give me Dale Arnold back.

Great win by the B's tonight, fantastic series. With Savard probably coming back the next series, I think they have a chance to eek one out. Either way I'm satisfied with their grit these playoffs. The Power Play has been...surprisingly good overall.

High hopes, low expectations. ;)

Niemi with a couple of big saves early on in the 2nd...

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

Hawks to the PP, still 4-3 with 13 to go in 2nd.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

No goals so far at the halfway point in the 2nd...didn't see that coming...

Give me an H-E-R-P-E-S. Whats that mean? Nashville Stay out of the box!

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

Lots and lots o power plays. Not so many goals.

4 minute PP. Double minor for high sticking.

Nothing going Nashville's way, since he basically tripped, fell backwards and his stick went right into Sobel's face.

Can't buy worse luck.

Ugh. I'll take Edwards any day of the week.

Honestly, I don't think he's all that intolerable. I can deal with his homerism and hyperbole, because, all of that aside, he really does call a good game. And, his stupid little sayings are hilarious.

"RYAN MILLER IS THE WIZARD TONIGHT!"

I'm not even sure what that means, but it was great. :D

Congrats to the Bs. Played a much better series than Buffalo. Well, going o-fer on the PP certainly didn't help. And Rask looks good in net. Much better than that sieve you have sitting on the bench.

Best of luck in Pennsylvania (but I'm cheering for the Flyers if that's the way it turns out).

7 goals in the first. 0 in the second. Yeah hockey, you're a random biatch.

Well...I do give you that he calls a very good game. His play by play is top notch. And I can tolerate the homerism. But my god his sayings/hyperbole have me cringing.

I grew up listening to Dale and Gordy is all. Edwards DOES do great play by play, so I guess it's alright. I really like Brickley though.

EDIT: I have the opportunity to buy Round 2 tix tomorrow...anyone have an idea on dates yet? I probably couldn't go if the game was on a Wed-Friday.

Even a good guess on dates, lol. How long is normally between series? As long as the series starts before May 5th, and they play every other day like normal...I should be able to go to Game 4. (Or Game 1 if the Bruins get the home seed.)

WORST case scenario: Game 1 would be the Tuesday the 4th, 2 Thursday the 6th, 3 Saturday the 8th, and 4 Monday the 10th.

I'm pretty sure the second round series will begin this weekend...Saturday or Sunday would be my guess.

Re: 2009-2010 NHL Playoffs Thread Part II: Dan Boyle's fate rests in the balance...

Games will start Thursday.

If Chicago wins tonight, Pho/Det will be at San Jose that night.

If Nashville forces a game 7, the Sharks get moved back to Sunday because of two Eagles' concerts.

(Not going to embed it incase someone reads the thread at work and doesn't want to explain to their boss why they hate the ****ing Eagles, man)

Vancouver has reportedly been told that their second-round series will begin on Friday, whether home (vs. DET/PHX) or on the road (vs. CHI).

I can't imagine that the East semi's will start until at least Friday - given that none of the teams will know where or who they'll be playing until late Wednesday night?

Correct. They have to give one full day between rounds.
