Don't get me wrong, it's sure a lot better than losing. But MLS teams have done OK against Mexican teams on US soil, but absolutely horridly when playing south of the border.
At Stadio Azul?
That's only a huge result if it's on the road. If it's at home, it's pretty meh.
(There's not much to Cruz Azul "almost" winning last season, either...)
The only really remarkable result in MLS's history of international competition is DC United winning the C'CAF championship ca 1998, and then following that up by beating the Copa Lib champion Vasco De Gama in the inter-American cup.
