Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Pretty interesting score from The FA Cup today.

2-2 going to extra time, and Leyton Orient score 6 (six!) goals in the extra 30 minutes. Both teams ended with 9 men.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

I'm really liking the QPR is doing so well (and in a promotion slot). In summer of 2009, I got the chance to watch a game in person, talk about a fun bunch of fans.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

My understanding from reading the referee forum on BigSoccer is the opposite: The taker has pretty broad discretion to deceive the keeper, as long as he continues to approach the ball without more than a momentary pause.
Hmm, I'll have to read back and see why I had that impression then.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

So as expected Rafa is running Inter into the ground. 3-0 to Werder Bremen? Sad.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Inter had already qualified, they ran out a bunch of young players. Now, he already has as many losses now, one week into December as Mourinho had all last year, but hey...I got nothing.

Besides the fact that this particular loss means nothing...he's in trouble. :)

I'd still take him back over that idiot Roy Hodgson.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Three-way coaching trade: Hodgson back to Fulham, Rafa back to Liverpool, Hughes to Inter?

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

So the Champions League group stages wrapped up today. Spurs, United, and Chelsea all won their groups, while Arsenal got second in theirs. Because of that, Arsenal will be drawn against one of these four teams in the next round: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or Schalke. Schalke isn't having a great year, but other than that, ouch!

Well there's that, and there's also the fact that I never consider it a crime for Italians to lose to Germans.

Final 16 for CL could be amazing.

A lot of teams in that I enjoy watching. Schalke, Barca, Inter, Marseille, Lyon.

Well there's that, and there's also the fact that I never consider it a crime for Italians to lose to Germans.
Inter is the only Italian team I don't hate.

It's not so much that they lost, its that they gave up 3. It's supposed to be a defensive team, they should never give up 3 even with a less than 1st team lineup. Especially to a so-far mid table german side.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Spending entirely too much time in our own end!! Lucky to be up 1-0 right now

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

The checks must have cleared, you *******.

Edit: Oh, and the Australians deny his claim about putting matches in New Zealand

Blatter says money was not a primary motivation for awarding the event to Qatar.

Dry that out and you can fertilize the lawn.

Blackburn with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Bolton. 1 step forward, then 2 back. :(
