New Zealand? That like a good 12 hour plane ride I think.
if they're going to do that, they might as well let Russia host matches in vladisostok.

What a save! The ref is doing everything he can to help Chelski, but Spurs are having none of it.

1-1 draw.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

I dunno, he didn't win the ball and then clattered over Ramires. Looked a pretty clear penalty to me. A draw suits me fine though. Another one tomorrow afternoon and then it's a really great weekend.

Pompey won yesterday at Norwich City.

2 consecutive road wins against Swansea and Norwich, that's impressive. :)

5 points off the playoffs with a game in hand.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Speaking of Qatar, I'll have to buy myself a Barcelona shirt before this happens.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

United is back on top after a 1-0 win thanks to Park JS. Sets up the showdown with Chelski this weekend.

Re: World Soccer XIX- Full of Pomp-ey and Circumstance

Steve Goff drops some knowledge:
US v. Egypt in Cairo on February 9.
Chicago Red Stars of WPS won't be fielding a team next season.

Just another visit to Old Trafford. Penalty against ManU not given. Dodgy penalty for ManU given. Four yellows for the visitors. None for the home squad, despite Fletcher going after people all game long and Rio kung-fu kicking Sagna in the midsection, tearing his shirt open. Not that Arsenal did much, but neither did ManU. I remember when every matchup between these two was collossal.

The PK call against you guys was dodgy. I'll give you that. Rooney blowing the PK was justice. Fabregas looked out of sync and out of shape. Park is really playing well. The Gunners really do need to give Walcott more starts because he looked like the only credible threat for them.

I never think much of Park, but he seems to make key goals and plays for ManU. Agreed on Walcott. I think most Gunner faithful would rather see him playing than Arshavin, who seems to have his mind elsewhere most of the time. Fabregas is becoming concerningly injury prone, and Arsenal just isn't the same without him in good form.

Oh well, at least we've got our visits to Anfield, Stamford Bridge, and Old Trafford all out of the way for the season. Not to mention having visits to Everton, Man City, and Spurs out of the way. That's a good chunk of tough road matches over already.

I don't know if this is a joke or not. But Maradona is said to be in line for the Blackburn job?
