Women's DIII 2009-2010 Fan Opinion Poll

Re: Women's DIII 2009-2010 Fan Opinion Poll

I've decided that Adrian needs to host an 8 team tournament next year over winter break:
Adrian
Gustavus
Superior
River Falls
Plattsburh
Elmira
RIT
Middlebury/Amherst
No point even wasting anytime inviting Middlebury they would never travel that far. I mean come on a bus from the Detroit airport allllll the way to Adrian, what's that 59 miles, Google say's it would take almost two hours. Man that is almost as far as from the Minnepolis Airport to St. Peter, MN.

Thats what retirement does for you:)
Holy Cross:(and any non D3 team) if one is to consider wins and losses against those non D3 teams above .500 in factoring how other teams do against them, why not show where they would be in any polls if they qualified.
The official Berry Patch poll ( the one that gets turned in will not include them in standings being that most people do not include them. I will mention them as a side note if they qualify):D

Ok. Not just cause I'm an RF fan, but because I know the quality of the teams Lake Forest has played... They haven't had a tough year. I am impressed with their outcome this weekend, but still not convinced that they deserve a ranking.

theres just no way that Mville an Norwich can both be in the top ten with the schedules they play. I don't think 1 win over Trinity is enough to bring Middlebury back in. I definitely think this weekend opened the door that only one Nescac team will be in the NCAA's.

Not sure if I agree with your comments, but this is a fan's opinion poll and you have as much right to base your comments and bias as other people who like Manhattanville and Norwich in top 10. Also, as Obserbear points out (despite your dislike of Middlebury) they could host NESCAC's this year, as they now control their destiny, if they win their next 4 NESCAC games. Does not mean they will win NESCAC, and get automatic bid, but they seem to be getting more out of their freshman.

I don't think that being the NESCAC champ is anything to write home about this year..look at their record out of conference. I really don't forsee more than 1 team coming out of the NESCAC for the NCAA's. IF trinity had won both games this weekend and their remaining games, and lost in the NESCAC finals it would have been difficult to keep them out, however now..I don't believe so

Being that Adrian is the only team thus far in the NCHA that has beaten Lake Forest, I would say that speaks volumes. Adrian is the only top team I have not yet seen. Watching UWRF, UWS,and UWSP is like seeing identical triplets. Sometimes they look good other times they look pretty ordinary. I hardly would consider UWRF the gold standard by which Lake Forest should be judged by. UWS couldn't beat them,UWSP couldn't beat them and UWEC could not beat them. 15-2-2 looks pretty good to me as of now. By all means good luck to UWRF when they face Lake Forest.:D

They beat and tied UWSP....so did River Falls. They beat and tied UWS....RF split with them. They swept UWEC.....RF tied them twice. Both of them split with Adrian. I think the only "harder" team in the schedule that Falls has played is Gustavus and they just split with St. Kate's....So how is that the RF should always be ranked but LF doesn't deserve a ranking when they've fared better team per team?
