nice to see someone is considering that since they became No. 1, Amherst has a loss and two ties....best T-10 i've seen yet

I had Elmira as my #1 up til this week. Amherst beat them. I don't know when your referencing...They had a loss to Elmira and a tie to Middlebury before this weekend. I'm pretty sure the tie to Hamilton is a fluke..much like some of the other head-scratching ties of the season. Plattsburgh beat an overrated RIT team this week.

I think Platty will probably move up to #1 in the real poll, but Amherst will be within 5 points of first. Don't forget--Amherst beat Platts and Platts tied Utica...which is the worse tie?? 9-7-2 Utica who barely eeked out a win vs Buffalo State. Or 5-7-3 Hamilton who also tied trinity and shut down RIT.

I'm not saying the tie to hamilton wasn't a fluke. but so too could have been the utica tie and trinity beating midd on a penalty shot in OT. it would just seem that the No. 1 team, if it was not named Amherst, would have been out of No. 1 as soon as they lost to Elmira in the Panther/Cardinal classic championship game. Platty has one loss, one tie. Amherst has one loss, four ties call the tie a fluke and call hamilton a fluke. wipe them out. then platty has one loss, no ties---Amherst one loss three ties. One of the ties against a team Platty beat twice and one loss to a team platty swept. Seems the stars line up in platty's favor. I just don't know if i've ever seen a team stay in No. 1 after a loss to another top-3 team and then two ensuing ties. I'm talking about the real poll now, not the opinion poll. and if RIT is overrated, why could Elmira and Amherst both not sweep?

They still have only 4 losses...6th place or not, they have played most of the tough teams ahead of them.

I've wondered if all of the D1 transfers UWS gets hurts them in the beginning of the year since they aren't used to playing together....they struggle early on...but seem to be better now.

This weeks USCHO poll.

I still don't see how RIT is that high...again..have beaten no one. At least the west teams have beaten eachother. RIT gets credit for losing to their other conference members. Same with Middlebury.

Will be interesting to see what happens if Superior beats gustavus tomorrow...especially if they sweep Adrian...or more interesting if they dont.
