Women's DIII 2009-2010 Fan Opinion Poll

Re: Women's DIII 2009-2010 Fan Opinion Poll

Mania, you had Norwich in your top ten for the last two weeks. Why did you drop them out?

Are Go Jackets and 5 4 Fighting the same person?:D

no...i'm much prettier

Mania are you wanting to do a poll this week since there were only a handful of games....only a fraction of which would probably have an impact on the poll....like Neumann dropping out and Superior moving in :P:P:P

Norwich out. Strength of schedule starting to play a factor in my mind. Sorry, Cadets. Superior has 3 losses, yes. But a couple of huge wins.

1: Amherst

6: Elmira
7: UW - River Falls
8: Gustavus Adolphus
9: Neumann
10:Lake Forrest

Sorry west, I'm not really sure what to think. River Falls has reasonable results but lost to Superior and tied Gustavus Adolphus. Gustavus Adolphus also lost to Superior, their results are nothing special. All of Superior's games are within a couple goals, they have some wins against "good" teams but how good are they really? At this point I am having a really hard time determining where they should be, so my best guess puts them where they are.

I need River Falls to walk all over Adrian and then I will move them up.

Neumann v Plattsburgh could be close. Neumann is still a little confusing they stayed close with RIT but haven't done much since. Could have been a fluke...who knows. Maybe RIT isn't as good as I think they are. If this is a fairly close game my rankings probably won't change much. If Plattsburgh walks all over them, which they probably will, then I will be forced to move RIT down.

Other than those games I can't really think of any other games that would help me determine my rankings ... unless someone gets upset.

Any reason you have Norwich so high? They do have one of the better records up til this point but the only decent team that they have beaten, as far as I can tell, is Utica and Utica hasn't done much this year. I don't really know too much about the other teams they've played, none of them stick out to me though.

Other than Norwich I could agree with that.

Sorry, missed this from a while ago. I think above can kinda explain. Holy Cross and Manhattanville should help me to determine where they should be. If those are close games or if they win I'll probably move them back into the top 10.

I expected I'd raise some eyebrows putting Norwich and Lake Forest in the top 5.

Norwich was a very good team last season that almost knocked off Elmira in the quarterfinals. I saw them play the Soaring Eagles and they were just as good as Elmira except for just a little bit less depth. They returned basically everyone from last year's squad and I honestly think with the right bounce of the puck Norwich could be in the FF this year.

Lake Forest is more just of a rewarding a great start. They havent lost yet which is more than any other team in the West can say right now, except St. Catherine (who would have been #11 in my poll):)

A couple other teams to keep an eye on that no one is talking about yet are Williams and Trinity. Williams might have finally corrected the ship and returned to an elite team as they are off a 3-0-1 start. They get a chance to prove it playing RIT this weekend.

Trinity will have the same chance as they travel to Amherst to take on the defending champs for two games. They still have Iwachiw! watch out.
