I’ve been thinking for a few days and I want to be clear on just how bad hold the dark was. I’m ashamed for skaarsgaaed and they guy from west world.
I can’t remenber the last time I saw something so bad

Sicario 2. I don't know why this movie was so highly rated. It was completely disjointed for me and I was never in it nearly as much as I was when watching the first.

Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story

Biopic of Hedy, who basically invented anything WiFi (frequency hopping). Very well done and informative. Most of us only know Hedy as a Blazing Saddles reference, I'm guessing, until recent years. Definitely would recommend this.

We were just talking about her yesterday and how her life would make for a fantastic movie! I'll have to check this out.

I guess the inspiration for it was a found interview with her in her later years by a Forbes writer doing an article on her.

As for Hedy, yeah, she was a looker with brains to boot. And an attitude. Gotta love it. Unfortunately, between the plastic surgery and Dr Feelgood......:(

12 Strong

First boots on the ground in Afghanistan after 9/11 had US troops on horseback. Yep. Started off pretty good, then kinda turned into some war porn, and cliches in the last 30 minutes (2 hour movie). Still worth a watch, but you'll probably get bored with it during those last 30 minutes, because you've seen it all before. Nothing really outstanding there.

About the mass shooting in Norway. Powerful. Intense. Raw. Real. Not overly dramatic. Heavy movie. Very heavy. If you can stomach watching movies like this, I strongly recommend it. I normally stray away from this sort of thing, it's too real, and I'm glad I took a chance on this movie.

The Hurricane Heist:
Over the top redonkulous popcorn movie about thieves stealing money that the Fed was going to de-circulate/shred. All action, no real substance, but a fun watch, I suppose.

Teenage girl trained to be an assassin by her ex-CIA father. Sent on a mission, she discovers she wants a more normal life.

Things happen, lots of arse-kicking, a couple twists, Cate Blanchett was annoying. Meh. Eric Bana is still cool, though. I think this could have been more, but it's ok for what it is.

Watched Deadpool on the plane Monday night. For all the hype, it was just decent. I love a good spoof, and I guess I expected a lot more "smart" humor. Or maybe it's just my inner aversion to most comic book films.

Watched the BBC version of Sweeney Todd two nights ago. Much better than the Depp/Bonham Carter version.
