WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

The Badgers will make at least one game close.

You're like a prophet or something...

Good win for us. Was anyone actually in the crowd? Sounded very dead over the radio.

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

IMO, Pios missed chances in the 1st set the tone for the game. Gave Bucky the chance.

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Box score says 4400 but that seems inflated--wasn't anymore than 4K. Sconie played a smart road game and looked loose. DU PP was scattered and not converting cost us in the end. Jussi was solid. Let's hope Sam is dialed in tomorrow night. Do or die on all levels tomorrow. Will be interesting to see how the boys respond.

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Yep. A loss tomorrow would be the end of the season. It's awfully hard to lose a game in which the team played so well. I think a goal in the 1st could have made a big difference, but frankly it doesn't matter. The guys have to win tomorrow and Sunday. Even then, I think we might still need a win next weekend.

Tough loss.

Never fear Pioneers...DU has never lost when I've been in attendance...well, except to Miami. I'll be there tonight!

OK, redhawk, counting on you to bring the Pios some mojo tonight!
Jussi played well and we had our chances in the first two periods.
Gotta bring it now--puck in the net!

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Who shows up for DU tonight? Dr Jekyll or Mr. Hyde?

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

I don't know whether it's Jeckyl or Hyde, but Sam Brittain in net tonight...

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

The Great Brittain and the Goal Czar, we expect them to make a difference, but my vote for #1 star is Dewey, Nate Dewhuest, 3 goals in 1 year compared to 1 goal in 3 years. He broke the ice for the Pios tonite!

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

I can't speak for GM Fletcher but I bet he is thrilled Zucker didn't get hurt tonight. I think he only has less than 7 maximum games left in his career. Please don't get hurt. Sincerely, Wild fan.

I wasn't in the live chat tonight Chuck...Posick made it sound like the right call, what did you think watching it?

I thought it was a terrible call. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but you can be in the crease as long as you don't impede the goaltender. Woods had a foot (or 2) in the crease, but Brittain had ample room to make the stop. Woods being in the crease didn't stop Brittain from stopping the puck.

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Now that game was fun to watch. Glad redhawk95's non-Miami DU winning streak remained intact.
You're like a prophet or something...
To be fair, it was prophetic in the way that predicting that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow is prophetic. :p

Re: WCHA First Round - Denver and Wisconsin in thin air

Any Minneapolis Badger fans know how I can tune into the game tomorrow? I just started using a smart tv device that has a HD connector, so if theres a live streaming I can watch it on my big screen, not a bad way to get its first use.
