WCHA 2023-2024 Calamity Or Calmness?

I've considered (for this kid of course) could you take a blank sign home and artify it before the next game - could you get it back in or doesn't security like that? I'd think they'd not have a problem with that?

I have never seen anyone bring in a pre-made sign. The "security" people are a bit anal. I could fold it up.

I think she'd be honored to have be behind her bench supporting her. Little miss sassy pants has de-throned Muzzy in my head for most nail on chalkboard figure in women's college hockey.
 
WI has 3 players in the top 10 in scoring and MN and 1. The highest Tosu player is only 15th, but they are 2nd in team scoring, behind WI. MN is 4th though you'd think they were 40th if you buy into their narrative. Team D is St. Cloud is 5th, Tosu 6th, UW 7th, UMD 8th and MN 9th. That is crazy. Can the wcha get 5 teams in the tourney? Honestly any one of them could win it all because in that tourney D trumps O.

We have been thinking the same thing across the border here. What might happen should that occur? Would the WCHA get handicapped in the future to even out the field?
 
When it comes to one aspect of D our PP kill has been pretty decent, not invulnerability always improving. When we do get scored upon the Muzzinator rallies the troops and it firms up.

I completely missed St. Cloud beat UMD and the Beavers beat the Tommies handily.

UMD at Q
Merrimack at UW
Woodsters at Kato

Should be brooms for the WCHA, though the UMD series could be interesting. We'll have to see how the EZAC stacks up. Right now UW, UM, UMD and St. Cloud are pretty much equals with tosu a bit above.
 
UMD could not put away Q and loses despite out shooting them by a 2-1 margin. Also a little shocked by the rodent score. Wisconsin had a lot of rust yesterday. I think we'll see quite a different outcome for Wisconsin, UMD and the rodents today.

Not so fast Mr. WCHA Elitist......UMD got tied by Q with Q getting 2 in the 3rd period and shots were 31/27 UMD. UM handled UCONN ok, but the expectation was higher than 3-1 35-24 SOG. UW had the same score, but played a way better game. Shots were like 16-0 late in the 1st period until UW took a dumb penalty, then Merrimack settled down a bit. MSU squeaked by the Woodsters 4-3 after a 6-1 game 21 romp.

Coming up:

Tommies at Badgers. Game 1 could be ugly rust vs no rust game. Badgers won't be bad - sweep. Shocking Packer playoff (PLAYOFFS?!?!?!) game on Sunday @ 3:30 may hurt attendance.
Tosu at the Tunnellers. Will the tosu rust give the rodents a game 1 advantage? Split. No worry about any Viqueen playoff game time conflict. LOL and HAHA.
Beavers at B-Dawgs. B-Dawgs enjoy some protein - sweep.
Mavericks at H-Dawgs. H-Dawgs also chow on protein - sweep.
 
Remember when Muzzeral was absent from the OSU bench for a period of time?

The Gopher announcer just said on the video stream that Muzzeral told him she "had a bit of an accident and had to miss a couple weekends". Nothing more than that.

We never heard anything more than that did we?

Taking down #2 Minnesota on their home ice is what I'd call a statement win and to be honest I didn't see it coming. The streaming commentators seemed in disbelief as well.
Could OSU sweep? I wonder how many Badger fans are very nervous right now?

The announcers were saying that although the all-time series record is completely lopsided, Coach Muzerall has a winning record vs her alma mater, and she actually has a better record at Ridder than at home against the Gophers. I would definitely characterize that as a statement win. I thought we would get at least one win up there, but not 7-0, so I did not see that coming either. I think tomorrow's game will be more interesting.
