Today is 07/17/10.
There are 83 days until DU's next game.
This is based upon 8 October for the start of the regular season
77 days until the first exhibition.
Thought it would be nice to copy the Denver University time clock to their next game - which is vs. UVM at the Gut. Finally, less than 3 months....
Is it too early to start a game thread???![]()
Maybe should wait until they have the new recruits press release before starting it. Could be some surprises still in who is coming in????
6'2", 185 lb. RD Michael Paliotta, a Westport, Conn. native who played with the U.S. Under-17 Team last season, will be coming back east for college, and attending the University of Vermont.
Paliotta, who played at Choate before joining the NTDP, has one more year in Ann Arbor before matriculating at UVM in the fall of '11.
Other schools in the picture for Paliotta were Michigan, Harvard, and BC.
A 4/16/93 birthdate, Paliotta played 50 games with the Under-17 Team last year and had a 2-12-14 line with 53 penalty minutes.
FYI - From USHR:
Thanks for posting boblav1. This looks to be a great pickup, beating out Michigan for a recruit is always a good sign.
but not beating out BC as well? that's not a good sign?![]()

My original post did not mention BC, but I revised my post shortly after to add both BC and Harvard.

gotcha.........great get for the cats if that was your competition. i would guess your coach is big reason .........he's excellent, IMO![]()
Lets at least post some speculative lineups for opening night.
Stacey-Stahlberg-Downing
Burrows-Brickley-McCarthy
Pacan-Lenz-Nilson Roos
Marshall-Herrington-Leonard
I think white will eventually find his way into the lineup but not right off the bat. I think it will take a little more time for him to get used to the speed of play compared to the other freshman.
Miller-Mackenzie
Medvec-Lawson
Franzon-Herrington
Madore
I love that second pairing. Lawson really came on in the second half of last season and started becoming a force at both ends of the ice like he was 2 years ago. That would have to be the biggest D pairing in all of hockey east if not all the NCAA and they played together a for some time last season.
So where do we think the Cats will be in the preseason media and coaches polls in HE?
I'm guessing 6th in media; and 5th in coaches behind BC, Maine, BU, UNH
