UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Til the Cats show me they're not as bad as I think they are, I'm gonna go with Michigan 5-1.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

Sneddon seemed a little overly giddy in his pre-game interview I saw this morning. I wonder if a player or three has drastically improved over the

PK is a bit too aggressive, and while that might work against some other teams, Michigan is not one of them, they have too much pure talent that any slip up is a scoring chance.

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

This is actually a surprisingly fun game. I thought we'd be down 3-0 at this point lol

Re: UVM 2018-19: This is so sad Alex play Esposito

I can't believe what I just saw.

Lekkas.... absolutely unbelievable performance, and the offense took advantage of its chances. We just went into Yost Ice Arena and beat the top-five ranked MICHIGAN WOLVERINES.

I'd honestly like to point out one player that won't get a ton of credit, but I was really impressed by Carter Long tonight. He looked like a veteran out there.

Nice win!! Keep proving everyone wrong!!! Watched parts of the second and third. Solid defense and occasional offensive zone time excellence. Good start.

BTW - anyone else really like that Frechette/Misley/Vlad line? They were very active in the forecheck and the Frechette/Vlad combo on the fourth goal was lovely.

As a stay-at-home dman's mother who appreciates shut-down defense, I've been tracking Long's progress since I first saw him at SE Districts Festival years ago. At the time, I actually thought Long compared favorably to his Selects Academy teammate, Andrew Peeke (a Floridian who I'm happy to see has since made the most of all of his opportunities!). I agree with you that UVM has a hidden gem in Long.

What.....no Fire Sneddon posts? But seriously, good for you guys. Good start on making up for HEA's appalling OOC record of last season.

There was one play he made last night, it was late in the first period, Michigan got a one-on-one against Long and he made a huge poke check to protect the lead. Had Michigan had the breakaway and scored that's a HUGE momentum shift headed to the locker rooms. It's a small play, but it was impactful, and one I'd expect from a veteran and not a guy who'd never played college hockey before playing in one of its most hostile atmospheres.
