USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Now what

1 Wisconsin Really put the hurt on Cornell in game 1 and easily won game 2
2 Minnesota Have they finally figured out Bemidji?
3 St. Lawrence Takes the Weekend off to prepare for the showdown with Clarkson
4 Minnesota-Duluth Takes 2 from Harvard, hell everyone is taking 2 from Harvard this year.
5 Boston College Not so much what they did rather what No Dak and Clarkson did (Not so well)
6 Clarkson Tied Bobby Mo blowing a 3-1 lead but won the shootout and beat Vermont to win the Windjammer Tourney
7 North Dakota Split with Syracuse

Who the hell do you put in 8-10th

BU for beating Prinny twice
Prinny with a losing record I think not
Quinny for tieing Merrimack and barely beating UConn
Bobby Mo for tieing Clarkson and then beating St Cloud
Northeastern after another loss to BC
Cornell after getting hammered by Wisconsin but they did score 2 goals in game 2
Colgate with the weekend off after beating twice a sub .500 Mercyhurst team earlier in the week.

8 Northeastern
9 BU
10 Robert Morris

Under Consideration: Colgate

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1) Wisconsin - So all this has been just a warm-up to this coming weekend. Who the goalie is doesn't matter so much as shutting down Minnesota's first line which apparently may have gotten a little easier if in fact Potomak is hurt.
2) Minnesota - This is the most vulnerable Minnesota has been in about 5 years. You can say all you want about how well the lower lines are "playing" but they are not putting the puck in the net...period. That is likely going to hurt them this coming weekend.
3) St Lawrence - The record is there to be at the top but I honestly don't think they can hang with Wisconsin for 60 minutes...Maybe Minnesota but I still would give the edge to the battle tested Gophers. This coming weekend will tell a lot about them.
4) UMD - They just continue to impress. They have played a great schedule and it is paying off for them.
5) Clarkson - Again, another team that is quietly putting together a very good season. Losses to Wisconsin and St Lawrence but a chance this weekend to get revenge on SLU.
6) BC - The good news...They are the top team in Hockey East. The bad news is that they play in the Hockey East. Can't really afford any more league losses.
7) Colgate - Great record as has been said but the more difficult part of the schedule is coming for them.
8) Quinnipiac - Not been the best showing for them thus far but I think they will be a contender for the tournament when all is said and done.
9) Norheastern - Second best in Hockey East barely makes the top ten...Nuff said.
10) BU - Putting them here because that is how bad the loss to Syracuse is for UND
