what's the big deal? StL & Colgate play CHA teams, if they lose you can take it out on them next week
1) StL - last undefeated team, and their only blemish is from Clarkson
2) Wisco - will have to wait for StL to stumble before regaining #1
3) MN - can't complain about being #3 when you have only one line that can score
4) UMD - has two lines that can score
5) Clarkson
OK, time to get out the dart board, any of these teams are capable of beating anybody, but not likely to win 3 in a row like it takes to win the NCAA
6)UND
7)Colgate
8)Quinnipiac
9)Frankiln Pierce
10) BC
geography students will note these last teams are ranked from west to east, as good a way as any
I-guess-I-should-have-waited-so-I-could-substitute-Holy-Cross-for-Franklin-Pierce
but-so-as-not-to-screw-up-the-spread-sheet-I'll-go-with-Northeastern-as-#10-since-they-are-farther-east-than-BC-which-becomes-#9
besides-something-tells-me-I-should-be-holding-a-grudge-against-Holy-Cross
I don't think SLU is better than Wisconsin Minnesota or Duluth...1 Wisconsin
2 St. Lawrence
3 Minnesota
4 Minnesota-Duluth
5 Clarkson
6 Quinnipiac
7 North Dakota
8 Boston College
9 Colgate
10 Northeastern
Maybe, or maybe not. We really won't know until SLU (possibly) plays one or two of these teams in March. I moved them up because they're undefeated on the season, and in the last five games they haven't surrendered a goal. And in the last ten games they've only given up two. This is very impressive, even against relatively weak competition. Meanwhile, Minnesota registered two ties against a UND team that I had ranked No. 8 the previous week (and they were No. 9 in the USCHO poll). So I think there is some justification in switching them at Nos. 2 and 3. And since Minnesota swept Minnesota-Duluth in their series I left them behind the Gophers...despite their impressive split with No. 1 Wisconsin.I don't think SLU is better than Wisconsin Minnesota or Duluth...

Right or wrong, that's my rational.
There I would disagree. Being the homer that I am, it's hard to imagine another line anywhere this year besting the Gopher's top line, which has Kelly Pannek centering Dani Cameranesi and Sarah Potomak. Together they are averaging 5.29 points a game, despite Minnesota's much tougher schedule.I would also venture to say that they could possibly have the best 1st line in the NCAA.

beet farmers got beet by a CHA team 3-0
7. North Dakota (would beat SLU)
