USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

In the words of the immortal Vince Lombardi: "WHAT THE HELLLLLS GOIN ON HERE"

Wisco clobbers Minn 8-2 after losing to them 2-0
BU loses to UConn'
Northeastern loses to Vermont
Bemedji loses to Minn State
Colgate ties Hahvad
North Dakota ties and loses to Ohio State

So my dart board has come up with the following

1. Wisconsin
2. Minnesota
3. UMD
4. Boston College
5. Clarkson
6. SLU
7. Quinnipiac
8. Robert Morris
9. Colgate
10. Cornell

Knocking on the door: Northeastern, North Dakota, BU,

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Wow, SLU punished pretty hard for finishing 1-1-2 against Clarkson. Very few punish Minnesota for tying Brown and Union for most goals against in a single game.

I had SLU ahead of Minnesota last week, but reversed them after the Gophers split with the clear No. 1 team vs. SLU which tied and lost to Clarkson, which I had at No. 6.

That loss should probably drop Minnesota out of the top ten. BU is likely "licking their chops" to have them show up this coming weekend.

Like that is even a comparison worth discussing, apples and lugnuts. If UM and UW played 10 more games, that 8-2 score doesn't even come close to being repeated.

UW swept Clarkson, Clarkson vs St. L 2-1-1, UM split with UW, therefore UM > St. L.

Exactly. I'm having a hard time deciding which order they should go--Brown..Minnesota...Union?

Yeah, right

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

I mean, just go alphabetical with the bit as you listed them and your good to go...:)

In fairness, Minnesota State also had an 8 goal loss this season.

But Minnesota set the record by getting to 8 goals against in the fewest number of shots. So they have that.

Yes, they do have that. It's too bad they don't have some more positive type of accomplishments to overshadow this. ;)

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1. Wisconsin - how do you even describe this weekend with the downs and ups?
2. Minnesota - ditto with the ups and downs?
3. UMD - epitomizes how good WCHA is with this team at 3
4. Clarkson - what a conference... going to be a tough battle all year and into conference playoffs. your turn at top Clarkson
5. St Lawrence - ditto... and teams are catching up to your fast start
6. Boston College - already HE champs, right?
7. Quinnipiac - found the formula this weekend?
8. North Dakota - keeps dropping
9. Colgate - the ECAC's North Dakota (just don't know what you're going to get each week)
10. Cornell - if you don't consider this team for your top 10, you should

Waiting in the wings: RMU (deservedly, not because of auto-bid)

A most interesting first half of the year.

Without the top goal producer in D1.

When StL travels to the #1 team in the country and beats them on their home ice with their full team (rather than lose at the #5 team in the country) then let's talk.

Fixed your post ;)

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

SLU does only have 1 loss to date. TimA's post was wrong; Clarkson vs SLU was 1-1-2 this year.
