You know the usual posters on uscho are getting old when there is no Grammy award discussion. Looking at highlites I have listened to none of them.
 
Grammy nominees I have heard:

  • Billie Eilish -- SNL, I really like her and her brother
  • Olivia Rodrigo -- SNL, dreck
  • Tay Tay -- daughter's tweeny idol, now old but she's my little rat face

  • Dua Lipa -- SNL, dreck
  • Kelly Clarkson -- American Idol
  • Ed Sheeran -- a less attractive man than I, drowning in it
  • Aphex Twins -- good in 2005
  • Skrillex -- this is a joke, right?
  • Kylie Minogue -- daughter's tweeny idol, now old
  • The Chemical Brothers -- I thought they broke up 15 years ago

Yeah, Olivia Rodrigo definitely occupies the same space as Taylor. My daughter listens to Olivia almost as much as Taylor.

Olivia is basically Taylor but with the damage of going through the Disney Channel system like Miley.

I’ll try to find it. Was a rabbit hole I found from someone on socials who was incredulous that some idiot (honestly can’t remember who) was remarking how Tracy was making money off the new version, like she owed him something and it went from there. Guy also said she ruined the song with her live version. Bitch, the reason that song rocked is because of her unique voice and the persona and the lyrics- doesn’t quite hit the same with the male country star farting out the words. It sounds like every other shitkicker pathetic country tune
 
I'm not looking to defend private jet use, but is it really practical or reasonable to expect someone with her level of fame and recent touring schedule to fly commercial, or not fly at all? I don't think so.

My issue is that she’s been lending it out like a taxi to others, and flying them around empty. She flies to nyc weekly for dinner with her friends and then often back to kc. It’s not like she’s using them just to tour

that’s what the kid exposed and why she’s pissed

Also, if she wanted to remain private, she shouldn’t have become a literal billionaire on the back of being famous. She’s literally saying I’m gonna do what I want but I don’t want anyone to know because it invades my “privacy” well that’s her choice. She’s literally doing what Elmo did, and that’s not a position you want to be in.

What's the carbon footprint of a Prius round trip KC - NYC? Excluding the dinner.

I see, so you're saying she actually purchased a plane for jetsetting whenever she feels in the mood. It'd be one thing if she owned or chartered a jet for the sake of tour logistics, but I agree that with all we know about climate change it's pretty 'Limousine Liberal' to be flying to dinner or whatever on a whim. Reminds me of the stories of the ultra-rich flying the morning Concorde to Paris (AF002) for dinner, staying out all night partying, and then catching the next day's return 10:30am CET flight back to JFK (AF001) and arriving almost exactly 24 hours after leaving.
