University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

So video on Facebook page shows why Taunting was called, Josh did a throat slash while skating by UNH bench. I'm assuming its not AI generated as it was posted by a Maine fan but you never know these days. I watched the 3rd period again to see if I could see it, the video looked to be from cell phone and wasn't on NESN

That is not true. That video is after the Holt goal. He wasn’t called for penalty on that celebration.

The Freel goal is when Nadeau was called for unsportsmanlike conduct. So we would need to get video of that goal.

I didn’t see anything on NESN during the Freel goal celebration.
 
You can see the Nadeau throat slash around the 2 minute mark, it was after the Scholle goal. Glad to see Nadeau get the monkey off his back, he's been playing hard all year and hopefully this is the confidence boost he needed.

Looks like he was also barking at the UNH bench after Russell's GTG as well.

He had to have gotten a warning after the throat slash and them still chirped the bench after Freel's goal as well.

Probably it was a cumulative effect. I’m curious though what he actually did do on the Freel goal when he got called.

At the end of the day if Nadeau’s gonna get out of line and get a penalty for trash talking then mights we’ll be UNH. I mean, you hate to waste good trash talking on Army or Stonehill or something. Glad he got it out against UNH, a team that deserves the trashtalking IMHO.

Especially after that hit up high on him earlier in the third. I'd say he more than earned the right to let them hear it.

Now lets just hope Barr had some blue chip recruits in the building last night.

Anyone have luck finding tickets at UConn? Not sure if I’ll go but wanted to see what’s available. Idk who builds a 2k seat arena but tickets are absolutely impossible to find for south of 75 bucks.

I got my ticket back in September, but around the holidays when I was looking with my dad for a second ticket they were already sparse. I can't imagine the situation has improved since then.

Yeah it is pretty crazy, especially considering when I turn on a UConn game the place looks 60-70% full. I’m going in keep an eye on it, maybe some tickets will pop up as we get closer to game time. Should be a hell of a game and interested to see they’re state of the art D3 capacity rink.

Per the CHN game stats says josh got called at 15:06 and Freel goal was 15:06.
Schole goal was 14:54.
I dont know what the call was for, was confused about it at the game last night too.

Hockey East with seven teams in the tournament as of today. Perfectly separated so if the committee wants to avoid first round pairings it can. But with almost half the field from one conference would that still be a priority? Either way it wouldn't have a huge impact on Maine. Either a rematch with conference foe UMass or a rematch with EZAC Quinnipiac. Depending on what the committee does, the other game in Allentown would be Western Michigan vs Lowell or Michigan.

Worth noting that regional hosts Pedo State, UHN and North Dakota are all lurking just below the cutline.

Tickets to the UConn game have the Maine Premium pricing. The single cheapest is $59 on StubHub, and there aren't many left. The Northeastern game has plenty available for $20. No such premium for the series at Amherst on the final weekend. General admission seats available from the ticket office for only $19.

That is what the issue is. The penalty was called on the next goal at 15:06 which is after the Freel goal. So you are confused.
