University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

I looked at the rhythm of where Maine played HE games starting with the '21-'22 season. We play 3 games against 4 teams and 2 games against the remaining 6. In '22-'23, it was the same number of games against the same teams, but location was flipped. In '23-'24, we played 3 against 4 of the remaining teams. For all 2-game weekends, location was the same as the previous year. Then '24-'25 flipped game locations. For '25-'26 (according to what has been "released"), we play 3 against the remaining 2 teams and 2 more from the '21-'22/'22-'23 rotation. Again, home location of the 2-game weekends is the same as last year. That info produced the schedule I predicted earlier for '26-'27 - mirroring this coming year. The '27-'28/'28-'29 band and '29-'30/'30-'31 band are nearly predictable. At that point there are two groups of 2 teams that a coin can be flipped between to determine who we get for 3 in '27-'29 and who for '29-'31. Simple math. After 10 years Maine will have played each HE team an equal number of times home & away.

"Hey everyone, thanks for re-engaging with our program and coming back to fill our arena after we completely mismanaged our premier program for over a decade. It's great so many of you bought season tickets and paid the new fee to be on our waitlist. Anyways, here's our nonconference home slate of Holy Cross, Colgate, and Lindenwood!"
I will be happy to take your season tickets.

For the record, I am a Colgate season ticket holder that loves going up to Maine from my home in Owego, N.Y. I went up the first time (Jan. of 2020) to see Omaha, as I was previously a UNO season ticket holder when I lived in Knoxville, Iowa. Then in January of ‘24, I drove up again for the PWR#42 ‘Gate at PWR#1 Maine series. The 4-4 tie in the opening game was HUGE for us. I am very excited about traveling back to Orono this October. The fans have always been great, the building is electric (even when the students aren’t all on campus) and I just love the area. In fact, I am headed to Unity, Wiscasset, Hermon and Caribou this weekend for some short-track auto racing. So, thanks for scheduling us (and I truly wish it is a reciprocal agreement). Finally, I hope to see the Black Bears in Lost Wages come mid-April.

Wiscasset has some money cars, Unity may but I think that track is just getting on is feet again. Speedway in Hermon is a dump, Caribou ? Been closed and then opened again. I'm wondering if Canadians are coming across border with cars?
