2nd best this year maybe. That diving slide save by Nadeau on Quinnipiac when they were shooting from 10 feet out on our open net was the play of the year.
 
That was a really good college hockey game, physical.
Cant believe umass is only ranked around 20, they seemed much better than that.

Holt was fantastic on D tonight.
Lesakowski is too slow for winger, lol, good for him to give it a go though.
Josh had some nice checks along the boards, most physical game I think Ive seen him play.
 
Gritty win for Maine. Barr's leadership has been huge; Maine made very few mental mistakes today. And Albin bailed the Bears out at the end.

I'm really happy that Maine garnered all the available points this weekend. I'm thinking that even a split in Amherst at the end of the RS will be a tall order. Hockey East is absolutely stacked this year.
 
Hard to put into words just how big that save by Boija was. If he can't get over it's another blown third period lead (at home no less). Would have been soul crushing.

FWIW that goal might have been disallowed anyways because of the contact from UMass just before he gets that glove over.

Man, what a tough league. So many good teams you have to deal with. Nothing short of a war out there yesterday and a lot of Maine players really stepped it up for this one. Holt was outstanding. So smart with the puck on his stick. Brezeale, Booyah,...the list is long. Superb weekend, keeps us within reach of BC coming down the stretch. Hopefully the Pizzpot will distract and drain those teams and pay the price later on. Enjoying the ride all the way. Excellent, excellent coaching staff getting the most out of the players up and down the lineup.

Weird not seeing No Dakota in there.
 
Well we finally cracked 3 goals on an actual goalie! Clearly moving Lesakowski to wing is the spark this offense was missing ;)

Holt, Breazeale, and Chabrier all looked great yesterday imo.
 
I'm thinking in the final 8 games.....6-2 is possible, 5-3 likely and 4-4 would be bad but probably keep them in the top 8 as a 2 seed. I think splits at Providence and UMass are likely, a sweep of UNH is possible at home and they should sweep Vermont at home....well see.

Already got the wife's buy-in to go on a little road trip if they get sent to Allentown.

Will be nice to spend some time with my friends in the Reading area that weekend.
 
I live about a half hour from Allentown so selfishly I’m hoping they end up there. It’s a bad spot for a regional since there are not many D-1 teams close by but the arena is a great place to catch a game.

If Maine does end up there I can post some things to do in the area. There are a lot of nice river towns on the PA/NJ border and good food options in Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton. Also a good casino in Bethlehem that usually has good rates on hotel rooms.
