University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Onto UNH. When was the last time Maine had a win in Durham? I don’t think anyone on this roster has won down there. So there should be motivation to do something previous teams couldn’t. Last year UNH spanked Maine in Durham. Time for some revenge. They like flopping fish on their ice, let’s make a Whale flop on their ice. That should make them happy.

Ooooohhhhhh

i will have to see if I can find a stuffed animal Whale for the game

February 2, 2019.

I was at this game, can’t believe it’s been that long. They won a shootout vs. UNH in the Covid year on the road and had the couple shootout losses a couple years back.

Should be a fun game on Friday, UNH looks like they are righting the ship and the Maine players should have plenty of motivation. This will be Maine’s last hockey East game till 1/10 so it’ll be important for them to get some points before the long layoff.

You are correct. Barr was motioning to have him get in line to shake hands and he blew him off and Barr started yelling at him. A real POS move

Having been around since Maine's Day One, BU has a rich history of AH coaches... Jackie certainly was, and Panda is carrying on the tradition.
(BUT, to be honest, Walsh and Jackie were kinda cut from the same cloth as far as AH tendencies went, but Shawn was OUR AH.)

Winning is the best revenge, and Maine was easily the better team this past weekend.

Worked for me.

Dude!!

jackpa never had to forfeit any of his natty titles like Shawnee did cause of cheatin’

Finally got some highlights from the Friday night game. The YouTube Channel “Lets go Maine” does a great job of showing highlights and general good plays for both teams. The one on Maine Black Bears channel only shows good plays for Maine.

In any case here are the extended highlights from superb source channel “Lets Go Maine” : https://youtu.be/KcfQUulL9O8?si=PmHG1HiJYk37D5yQ

I don’t think he is that knowledgeable about hockey based on his posts on the BU thread.

So go easy on this newbie.

Mookie is just trollin' for fun, he was around during the heyday of Maine BU hatred so hardly a newbie

Sports Columnist Travis Lazarczyk, (Maine Trust for Local News), has a vote in the USCHO weekly poll. This is his first year. He explained how he moved Maine up to 5th despite Maine losing the lead in the third period twice in the last two weeks. His votes seem to match up well with the overall voter results.

Going BC/BU/UNH in November was certainly a choice by Hockey East... We may only have one ranked series remaining once the second semester starts.

Monty out at bruins!
I believe for the first time ever there wont be pleadings on here for him to come back here as coach.

Yes I'm wondering how they match up

Fowler being suspended for this game will be a big factor tonight. I feel like PC wins a close match. They are a solid team top to bottom and they have a really good goalie. As long as The Friars keep the scoring of Leonard and Perrault to a minimum, they should get the win.

Eh not sure right now Providence has been butt clenching the whole third and crapping their pants like we did. 2-2 with 3:21 left and Providence will be lucky to get points tonight they look absolutely slow compared to BC.
