RE: Nova Scotia Recruiting Trips

Also, Halifax' Cam Lee, a puck moving defenseman who was pushed back by Providence and decommitted/was decommitted (after PC got a lot of other defensemen, including Ryczek and NH's Spencer Young), is a Halifax native. He just committed to Western Michigan. Wonder if UNH wanted him to fill a role?

Looks like Borek landed him

I am very excited to announce my commitment to Providence college. Thanks for everyone who helped and stood by my decision. #friars

Ben Barr is top assistant at Western Michigan. He helped get Lee in first place

recruiting is starting to be more focused! Word has it Souza and Stewie had the top 2000 recruit on campus recently, just MVP of Midget Minor Silver Stick in Ontario!

OK ... so when you say "campus", are we talking UNH or Great Bay Kids Company?

Re: UNH Recruits: 2012-2018

So Stewart has been on the road most of the season - when will we close on someone...?

Starting to think he's interviewing for his next position, as opposed to closing deals on future UNH recruits.

Two former UNH commits - defensemen Joseph Masonius (#105) and Jake Ryczek (#116) - are on the NHL CSS Midterm Rankings of North American Skaters.

Congrats! Hope there's two more out there just like them...or something better, for us in our very near future! ;) I've been keeping an eye on JM...glad he's doing well.

Just saw this on PC tweet. For those that thought Borek was an ineffective recruiter.
@Deweydewey27 Congrats, Brandon! Look forward to having you on campus and at Schneider soon! facebook.com/groups/provide… #PC2020

I guess this is the place to find out the latest on our misses and ex-recruits ...

I'll refrain from putting more other school recruits here. I felt that it was a big mistake letting Borek leave. IMHO I felt he's been the HC for the past 4+ years, without the title for credibility with recruits. He also got elite players and at less than full scholarship. For example the 2 NHL blue liners now were partial scholarships, goalies as well.

According to Mark Divver, Leaman watched Duhaime last Sunday. PC played at Vermont Saturday night.

Providence College gets commit from Brandon Duhaime of Chicago Steel. Nate Leaman watched '97 winger on Sun. Nice get for Friars. #USHL

Sure, but what about the few years between those NHLers and the two recent decommit D-men?

Nonsense. His job was to recruit players who could contribute to the overall success of the program, specifically make the NCAA tournament and get to the Frozen Four. Scott Borek failed in that mission. I really don't care how many players he recruits that make it to the NHL, his job was to assemble a roster that could compete. To be generous, that hasn't happened in five years.
