It's game day. I am hopeful for at least a split. A win tonight would be huge. It seems like we are right where we were last year at this time. I am wondering if we may see Coombs at some point. I am also wondering if we may see some significant line adjustments this weekend. Not sure if anyone noticed but Saturday's game only has a handful of tickets left (got 2 extra for our girls). Go Cats!!

Decent effort there in the first. Hitting a cross bar is always tough.
I hope Souza takes note of HOW FAST BC runs their powerplay. They move quick, pass quick - everything has URGENCY! If you pass fast you’re gonna find an open guy… I feel our PP lately has been lackadaisical. I’m glad we got one so far tonight, but we need to pick up the speed on man up.
BC missed a few open nets…Gotta clean it up. We won’t always be that lucky.

Well… perhaps they can “sneak” one out tomorrow.
You could tell the ‘cats were starting to get gassed there in the 3rd. BC just looked like they were toying with them for a while, keeping the pressure on and forcing long shifts for UNH. They certainly played a little better tham last weekend, but BC is a clearly superior team to NU.
And please… play with a bit more authority on the PP tomorrow. Take a few notes on how BC did it. FAST and QUICK. No dilly dallying…

Lately? Sorry for being snarky but our PP has been abysmal for quite some time now? Though we went 1 for 3 as did the Beagles.
Not surprised at the result was thinking 5-1 ish. At least we kept Conmy off the board. Felt they had some decent moments...but as usual BC's talent outlasted ours. Glad Cy has had a couple of goals last 2 games..and Ring continues to put the puck in the net...Great offensive flurry leading to Cy's goal..
First BC goal looked like our defense was on a penalty kill. We allowed them to take advantage of huge gaps. Anyone else think that penalty MS7 challenged should've been a major? Oh well..
Going to be a near sellout tomorrow night maybe we can do something...but my prediction is BC 3 UNH 2
A loss means HE basement..which is where we sit right now. Sigh.
You can't mention Conmy. You will get a nickname now from Potty because he is his baby.

Ask Maine want to stop having bad outcomes go get a competent coach. That is step one of any turn around, competent leadership behind the bench.
That’s fair I was being a bit tame about the PP… Perhaps short memory I was just thinking about the past few weekends where they have generated next to nothing in terms of grade A chances.
I almost couldn’t believe at the end when we had an extra skater they still seemed to be playing like it was 5 on 5… BC had a moment where they had it possessed behind our net and were just passing it around! I mean… c’mon!
Hopefully the near sellout today is mostly UNH fans, but the way they have been playing lately I wouldn’t be surprised with a good BC contingent. Hopefully we can quiet them down with a solid game plan.
Gotta end the skid tonight…
Oh Meathead, you thought it was good that Conmy transferred because he was allegedly a goal scoring diva. Makes sense. UNH doesn’t need goal scorers.

Goal scorers? We don't need no stinking goal scorers (Blazing Saddles reference). Speaking of goal scorers was really hoping we'd see Sam O as an offensive force...Felix too given how he started. Not meaning to call them out lack of scoring has been a troublesome thing as we know.
Excited to hear Tournas has signed financials...

I'm sorry, but the idea of a significant BC contingent traveling to Titletown
for a nothing game in mid-January sure, there will be some diehards, some from the board here ... but BC was outnumbered in ManchVegas by the combined forces of Bentley and UNH fans for an NCAA tourney game less than a year ago. And UNH wasn't ever going to be making it to the tourney last season. The reason for tonight's attendance uptick are the sad eyes of one Mike Ayers, and the hordes of female UNH fans who still pine longingly for his return. He may now be in his mid-40's and all, but his loving fans still turn to goo with a sideways glance from his brooding countenance. I can't hope to explain this, but I conducted a brief informal survey during the game last night, and confirmed this as a stone cold FACT! Bandwagon Nation's idea of serious hockey travel is taking the T to North Station for the Beanpot, which is approaching after next weekend ...

Speaking of Ayers, given he was passed up for the BC coaching job a few years ago when York retired (not wholly surprising, as Brown is an alumni and worked with York for more years, despite leaving in 2018), do you think he would be interested in the head job at UNH should MS7 be removed? Without doing any research, I have no idea what kind of money he makes as a “Associate” HC at BC, but he has been there for quite a while now.
Maybe if so, some BC recruits would be interested in following him to Durham…
