UNH- How Far West Do We Go?

Looking ahead to this home-and-home with BC is difficult to predict, especially after the debacle last weekend. Certainly if they play as they did last weekend, they will lose both games by more than what they did against NU (I’d say -9ish goal differential). UNH has played up to better opponents earlier this season (Maine, Dartmouth, MSU) so I’m gonna stay optimistic they sneak one out.

GM1: UNH 3 BC 2 (OT)
GM2: UNH 1 BC 4

UNH surprises BC by coming out hot tomorrow, angry after their previous weekend results. BC gets their act together on Saturday and brings their A game to Durham. UNH has typically played better on Friday’s, and also better on the road.

2 out of 6 points isn’t great, but it’s ALOT better than the goose egg we got last weekend. As always, the more the merrier!

If they are able to get 4+ points this weekend, I think it can be a real confidence boost to carry them forward. One can only hope. Gotta stay positive!
Unfortunately this is probably the best guess. UNH can't win at home. I just want Walsh in the lineup Saturday with a target, 36

Buford, it's about a PROGRAM. Separate identifiable moving parts designed for success on the ice for the team and the individual development of the players.

Can you please tell me about UNH hockey's strength program? Does the program have a dedicated coach? Tell us about the supporting weight room and compare it to PC, BC, BU, UConn, NU and even Maine.

What about player nutrition? Who advises the hockey players?

What about academic support services? Who advises the hockey players?

What about training facilities for injuries, rest and recovery? We both know that answer to that question.

Recruits, their families and, yeah, their "advisors" ask detailed questions about these things. They find those subjects very interesting and are savvy at seeing through the Tony Robbins inspired recruiting pitches.

They are not interested in the 1979 ECAC tourney, Rod Langway, or the good old days of 1999.
You coming to the game Saturday? Come to Libby's before I will use my feeble salary to buy you a spritzer as I am sure that is what you drink.

It's game day. I am hopeful for at least a split. A win tonight would be huge. It seems like we are right where we were last year at this time. I am wondering if we may see Coombs at some point. I am also wondering if we may see some significant line adjustments this weekend. Not sure if anyone noticed but Saturday's game only has a handful of tickets left (got 2 extra for our girls). Go Cats!!

CHC has confirmed 2026 recruit Nico Tournas has signed his financial aid package and should be ready to go next year that's big. 2027-2028 recruit defenseman Xavier Cormier is having a nice rookie year in the QMJHL has 16 points in 32 games and is a +13 looks like a real promising recruit.
This is most excellent news. Tournas is looking to be our highest NHL draft pick in a bit.

Q: How much is Souza paying you to run cover for him? Really, how much?? is money involved, or is it some kind of barter or like-kind contributions???
Chuck, I think we figured out what Potsie's role is last week.

The VCR tape is probably the '99 title game when immortality was oh so close.

So BC gets swept by PC and UNH gets swept by NU. This is next level bullshit. We are in for a wild ride and so is the rest of Hockey East.

Decent effort there in the first. Hitting a cross bar is always tough.

I hope Souza takes note of HOW FAST BC runs their powerplay. They move quick, pass quick - everything has URGENCY! If you pass fast you’re gonna find an open guy… I feel our PP lately has been lackadaisical. I’m glad we got one so far tonight, but we need to pick up the speed on man up.

BC missed a few open nets…Gotta clean it up. We won’t always be that lucky.

Well… perhaps they can “sneak” one out tomorrow.

You could tell the ‘cats were starting to get gassed there in the 3rd. BC just looked like they were toying with them for a while, keeping the pressure on and forcing long shifts for UNH. They certainly played a little better tham last weekend, but BC is a clearly superior team to NU.

And please… play with a bit more authority on the PP tomorrow. Take a few notes on how BC did it. FAST and QUICK. No dilly dallying…

Will today be UNHs last day at .500 the rest of the season? I hope not…

Lately? Sorry for being snarky but our PP has been abysmal for quite some time now? Though we went 1 for 3 as did the Beagles.

Not surprised at the result was thinking 5-1 ish. At least we kept Conmy off the board. Felt they had some decent moments...but as usual BC's talent outlasted ours. Glad Cy has had a couple of goals last 2 games..and Ring continues to put the puck in the net...Great offensive flurry leading to Cy's goal..

First BC goal looked like our defense was on a penalty kill. We allowed them to take advantage of huge gaps. Anyone else think that penalty MS7 challenged should've been a major? Oh well..

Going to be a near sellout tomorrow night maybe we can do something...but my prediction is BC 3 UNH 2

A loss means HE basement..which is where we sit right now. Sigh.
