Quality of the NESN broadcast is horrible. Audio sucks, video is lagging, is this the first time they’ve done this?

End of two 5-4 "Cats. Wow 9 goals never would have imagined. Love the games of the new guys..Comny with 2 pts great goals by Winters (who sat out alot of the second half last season) LeClerc Devlin and Reid.

Welp let's see how this one turns out Go 'Cats!!

Well well well... that's the biggest W in a LONG time! Was having some serious flashbacks to the good old days. Opening night snuck up on me or I'd have been right there with a lopsided L prediction of my own.

I thought the Winters-Lavins-Cronin line stood out creating scoring chances while being responsible defensively. Conmy seems like a nice high end skill addition to the first line which looked like the best line UNH has had in years. Still early but I don't remember seeing offense like that in a long time. They could have easily had another 1-2 goals, but Caron made some solid saves in the 3rd.

Nice to see, these moments are so rare nowadays

That was really fun! The 'Cats were relentless had decent puck possession created some decent opps. If someone would have told me this was the outcome I don't know if I would have believed them...

Like teeze said this had been along time coming...12 games I think???

Nice W 'Cats!

The last time that we beat BU was on 14 February 2015, 4-3 at the Whitt. Yes, a long time, indeed.

Quinnipiac needed OT to get by AIC 3-2 on Friday night, after losing their opener last weekend.

Suddenly grabbing some points in our first three games no longer seems so daunting, especially with 3 HEA points that cannot be taken away now.

I will eat crow for tonight, but this game was not expected. All around it was a well played game. I need to rewatch the game for the BU goals to see if it was goalie glove down issue but I will take the win. I am not sure if this is a BU is not this good or UNH is better than expected but it is a win. The Key Auto Center at The Whittemore Center at Towse Rink sponsered by Mass General Brigham Wentworth Douglass Hospital was live.

CHAMPIONS of October, Carmine!

You'd think, after all these years now, I'd have seen this coming. Nope, not for a second. Fair play to MS7 and his 'Cats.

But you're gonna have to make this a regular thing. Here's my question:

Is the real UNH 2023/2024 team the one that scored six goals? Or the one that gave up four goals?

Leaning strongly towards the latter, but I'm Missouri - I'm here to be convinced. Show Me.

One thing's for certain, this early on ... if I'm a UMaine-iac, I'm reserving hotel rooms in Boston for mid-March.

Har har har... to watch BC, BU, NU and Providence duke it out ? Nah, not even close yet.....as you say, Show Me. But, but, those sabbertooth cats, wow! Obviously we are seeing tremendous coaching that prepared them for those big bad Dawgs from Comm Ave. And without doubt MS7's contract is looking like it desperately needs an extension! Now go give the Q a spanking and we'll do the same the weekend after that for a split of the COO (champs of october)

Was this an “any given a Sunday”game or a sea change?

Lots of nice goals but that Winters shorty was a thing of beauty!

In front of 567 fans. I guess the defending National Champions are a real draw.

Luis Linder played in front of more than ten times that number of fans last night.

Speaking of transfers Snively, you must have been happy that Lavins won a majority of his face offs...

Oh ... and what's with the second straight game with UNH allowing a 2-on-0 breakaway against?!?!?

That's usually a once, maybe twice per season glitch at worst. UNH has two already, and it's still early October.

Maybe MS7 has the boys returning to their "defense optional" high-scoring days of the '70's and mid-'90's???
