UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

I certainly have doubts about your salary accomplishments after you've beaten us all over the head with your personal competitive philosophy of - trying hard, success uncertain, whine much, do nothing. Inspiring...

No bigger losers in sports or life than those who refuse to try because they want a crutch for any potential lack of success. Why try if there are obstacles and you can place blame without 'wasting' time or effort!? I love competing against people like you. I'm sure coaches around HE also enjoy their time competing with a program so paralyzed by the uncertainty that comes with change. UNH could follow Maine's blue print and enjoy a new era of nationally competitive success. Or, they might not. Neither outcome is a loser outcome. Your's most assuredly is...

For all your posting, all you've proven is that YOU don't have the ability, the vision or the courage. If/when the position does open, do us all a favor and forgo an application. You won't have to worry about failing and UNH's outcome will become just a bit less uncertain...
Oh brother. Dan is giving out the life advice. All effort, no planning, strategy etc..

It’s fascinating that there’s no mention of investing money. Dan is not a businessman. That’s for certain.

I’m sorry that you are an asshole and are better than everyone. Making a statement like everyone is under employed or that I am can be packaged up and you can shove up your ass.

We are not discussing MS7 as a man this is an evaluation of the results of a job, which has been unsuccessful. You do know that people who don’t meet goals or any expectations in a job are at times fired.
You really do struggle with reading. I support letting Souza go but the abuse he receives from some people on this board is classless and undignified.

It’s especially amusing to see that the loudest voices, such as yours, can’t handle any criticisms. The harshest and most undignified critics of Souza, such as you, Buford and Elwood, are clearly very mediocre people.

I’ll keep coming at you , Buford and Elwood, so long as you post nasty undignified comments about a decent man that is clearly on the ropes, has harmed nobody, and has a wife, friends and family members that read this Board.

It’s obvious you want Souza gone. Enough already.

I can take criticism that’s not the issue. You are on here making personal attacks not just on me but everyone. We are not attacking MS7 as a man, person, husband or father. We are unsatisfied as consumers and the person who is responsible is the coach.

You have been on here belittling people for not making enough money or under employed without knowing anything about a single person. Your higher almighty narcissistic attitude is best for some other board.

Good thing you weren't around when Timmay was still coaching UMaine. No one had any concerns about Tim the person, lots of concern about Tim the coach especially when he essentially said he can't recruit to Orono. Coaching a D1 program anywhere is what have you done for me lately.

I've said this before Hockey East is better when Maine and UNH have strong programs. No one else travels like fans of these 2 programs in HE.

I see Mike has recalibrated his attack, and now is posing as the defender of the mediocre-at-best, failed UNH head coach who has supposedly been repelling "undignified comments". I'm struggling to understand what comments those are, other than he's underestimated the demands of the job from the outset, waddled through the last 7/10 years without any specific strategy or vision (how ironic?), and has taken to whining about shortcomings in the funding and support of his program? Oh gosh, the horror, being called out for general incompetence in his well-paid job! Bring on the counselors and comfort animals!!

Just like with the deceased Mr. Morin, you have appointed yourself as the defender of the would-be victim, in both instances, and I'm betting if MS7 (is that a microaggression BTW, Mike?) ever saw this or heard of it, and his skin would crawl, because his self-appointed "defender" is a toxic egotistical gasbag.

You've also taken on the charming practice of accusing those of us who disagree with you as "cowards" LOL. One of us posts here under his real name, a few others (like Dan and recently 'Watcher; apologies to others I may be overlooking) are working with partials, and many of us know each other off the boards in person ... so to be 100% clear ... while no one is required to be disclosing anything about their ID or demographics on here, it takes a complete hypocritical douchebag (that's you, Mike - BTW not Mike Souza) to accuse others of "cowardice" while sniping from a perspective of total and utter anonymity.

But folks of your ilk seem prone to accuse others of conduct they (you) are doing yourself. It's called "projection" - look it up on your next purported trip to the Dimond Library, I mean, after you're done with the color-by-number comic books. Otherwise, I'm increasingly certain I (and several other posters on here who don't boast of addresses, incomes or fake business acumen) could buy and sell your a$$ like the 3rd string ECHL goalie that you are in real life.

Keep it up, "Spaulding" ... again, we're laughing AT you, not with you. :ROFLMAO::poop::ROFLMAO:

Unfortunately yeah, I agree with ya ecat. Maine will be gassed and UConn has some guys with wheels. UConn Maine 4, Maine UConn 2. Only way Maine is in it is if Booooyahh absolutely stands on his head.
Fixed yer post, Larry. And BTW congrats to you and most of your fellow UMaine-iacs, Barr has fulfilled all of my predictions these last two seasons. (y)

The only one stupid looking is you. A stupid person would say something bad about someone and then not be prepared to answer the follow up question… why do you think that? You had no plan for an answer and was caught without one. You fell back on the highschool rumor mongering defense of “I have my reasons but I swore I wouldn’t say what it was or who told me. But trust me anyways.”. Sad Chuck. You need to stop stupidly putting yourself into defenseless positions. Nobody thinks your BS about Cavanaugh is true. Everyone thinks you are a douche for even saying anything about it.
First of all, I don't really care what "everyone" thinks of what I post, skippy. Talk about a high school mindset. Grow up, willya?

First and last on Luce, at least until this inevitably comes up again at this time next season, or when UConn plays UNH earlier in the year.

I have a personal opinion on Luce. It is founded on information I've been provided by highly-credible and trusted sources, under the condition of anonymity. People who have provided accurate and reliable information to me in the past (and since) to me, so I feel it is reliable, and will believe it until it's proven false, or the reliability of those sources comes under scrutiny. That hasn't happened (yet), so my opinion remains the same, now as then. Simples, right?

I've never said a single thing about what that information is, and I've clearly not asked anyone to believe or disbelieve stuff I haven't disclosed. Everyone lives their own life, gets to make their own decisions on how to live it, who to believe, who to like and who to dislike, etc. If we disagree, so be it. And I know it's hard for you to believe, but USCHO has been around for over a full generation prior to when you joined as a newbie in 2023 to hop on Barr's bandwagon.

You may not like the "answer" to the "follow up question", but keep in mind (1) I do not bring this up out of the clear blue sky, it is something I get asked a lot at certain times of the year (2) because long-ago discussions where the topic was "how do you rate Luce as a coach?" My answer has always been (3) I don't rate him, for reasons I can't really discuss. For most folks familiar with the concept of confidentiality as a means of getting at otherwise-inaccessible info, they're fine with leaving it at that. Only an immature prat like you will classify it as "rumor mongering" when clearly I am not mongering any rumors.

And the funny thing is, skippy, that my sources who are still on this planet freely converse with me on topics they can't or won't venture into in the public realm, because they know I have a trusted track record of not disclosing things provided on the QT. And if it is disclosed without confidentiality, then I'm free to share that info on here whenever and wherever I want. Like I did about 5 years ago, with the full disclosure of the pervasiveness of BC alums populating the Hockey East officiating world. Something that has since trailed off, no doubt due to the really bad optics of the situation.

The other reason I don't rate Luce as a coach is that he's accomplished virtually nothing (at least as far as the consensus on here is on what exactly is an accomplishment) in over a decade in charge at UConn. He's made catty comments (public and otherwise) about his former BC boss, and about MS7, too. Last night, he had a chance to change that "no accomplishments" thingie, against an opponent many on here concluded would be "gassed" due to a late double OT semifinals win. That's your team, skippy. But sure enough, Luce's team was late to the game, and UMaine (deservedly) won the HEA title.

Turns out, last night was a no-lose proposition for you. UMaine wins, good for you. UConn wins, then Luce is "great" once in a dozen or so seasons, and you're on here beating your concave chest with the "Chuck was wrong" crap. So your boys win the HEA title, and my opinion on Luce holds up for yet another season of nothing in the UConn hockey trophy case. Can you live with that, skippy?? Or are we gonna repeat this dance in the NCAA's next weekend???

Thanks for putting it this was Chuck. I have nothing to hide especially who I am. MS7 knows who I am on here because of the time I met with him and asked this group if they had questions and he knew it was posted as ihe point blank said it.

I’ve met many on this board, two are fraternity brothers of mine with one I was there at the same time.

It does make sense as coach knows the highlights of the board the Mike hiding behind a name would be his source.

Chuck: you a laughably delusional. A few days ago you were quoting anonymous lawyers re: Morin. And here you are with confidential sources re: Cavanaugh. Just totally gutless delusional nonsense.

You have zero sources. The reason? You’re nobody with nothing to give in return. What you have is an alcohol and likely untreated syphilis fueled grandiosity that comes with eating hundreds of squirrels cooked over an open fire in the NH woods.

I scored a ticket to the Atlantic Hockey championship game tonight, probably the toughest ticket to get in Woostah in a long time as only 1200 seats at Hart Arena. Winner likely faces BC in the first NCAA semifinals game in Manchvegas next weekend. Yeah, I know, UNH beat Bentley earlier this season, but just barely.

Barr checked with you first on your prediction before doing what most thought he would ?

To be honest I thought Maine wouldn't have the legs to go toe to toe with a team that quite frankly already outskated them twice this season. And there was the rest factor which was a concern of the coaching staff. But for over two periods Maine didn’t give them a sniff, so there you have it. The players simply were not to be denied. Game over.

Happy to be wrong, in fact thrilled to be wrong . Won’t be the last time 😆

Are you attending the final tonight as well,Ref? Looks like a packed house, and Maine fans have shown up in droves (per usual). I haven't been to the semis since UNH's last trip but it was my favorite day of the season way back when.
Oops sorry didn't see this! Nope watched from home. Heard tix were hard to come by! I will be at the Regionals both days.
