UNH 2024/2025 Goldberg Edition

Chuck: you a laughably delusional. A few days ago you were quoting anonymous lawyers re: Morin. And here you are with confidential sources re: Cavanaugh. Just totally gutless delusional nonsense.

You have zero sources. The reason? You’re nobody with nothing to give in return. What you have is an alcohol and likely untreated syphilis fueled grandiosity that comes with eating hundreds of squirrels cooked over an open fire in the NH woods.
Why don’t you put your money where your fat arrogant pompous mouth is and say who you are. Give some validity to your posts or go away.

Weak. A$$. Pansy. Wow, the beating you took on the Morin "debate" left a mark. And the projection thingie is adorable, too.

Most folks would be smart enough to quit while they're this far behind, but not you. Keep digging the hole deeper, Mike ... :ROFLMAO: :poop: :ROFLMAO:

What a splendid idea, Norbie!! (y) :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I guess the saddest part is, when Mike accuses someone of "being a nobody", the projection he bathes in certainly tells a tale ... :poop:💩

Serious questions to the rest of the UNH thread:

(1) Was anyone from the UNH Men's Hockey staff or AD's Rich's office at the HEA Tourney this week?
(2) Will anyone from the UNH Men's Hockey staff or AD Rich's office be at the NCAA Regionals next week?

So the regular season is over in the QMJHL and the OHL here's the final stats for the 4 players coming in next year for the Wildcats. Alex Carr D 6-39-45pts. Nick DeAngelis D 6-32-38pts. Jacob Newcombe F 36-37-73pts. And Sam Oliver F 50-28-78pts. Oliver lead the QMJHL in goals and is just what UNH needs. Newcombe beat cancer last year and was captain of his team, very skilled forward. The two Defense men are solid and I believe will be a much needed upgrade. Carr was also Captain and the other two were Assistants. Hopefully their leadership and skill can get the Wildcats back to a winning team.

Clarkson's season ended yesterday in the ECAC final. Ellis Rickwood was their second leading scorer with 35 points, and Trey Taylor repeated as the ECAC's top defenseman. Both had a sibling that played at UNH, but, for some reason, chose to play elsewhere. Trey Taylor apparently had a positive experience and so his younger brother Tate followed him there, and had 16 points as a freshman defenseman.
Ohio State lost the Big10 final, but will move on to the NCAAs. Former UNHer Damien Carfagna was named to the Big10 Honorable mention team with 28 points in 37 games.
Former UNHer Stiven Sardarian finished as Michigan Tech's leading scorer with 11 goals and 24 assists.

Fun facts! Rob Cronin keeps his scoring touch alive with his first pro goal tonight and Snively65's Falcons win their division...see you in ManchVegas!
First conference tourney win in Bentley hockey history, I think. Hart Rink was a madhouse, as CHN lists attendance at 2700 whereas there are only 1200 seats. I was standing 2-3 deep at the end where the Falcons scored three times in the second period to take their initial lead. I felt like a goaltender trying to see through screens. Reminded me a little bit of standing for Bentley games at the JAR in Watertown and at Batchelder Rink in Durham during the 1950s and early 1960s, but of course I was always nose to the glass or fence at those venues.

Falcons played even with the Crusaders in the first despite giving up two of the Crusader three PPGs, but then dominated the second and third periods, finishing with 30-20 SOG and 39-22 FOW advantages, e.cat! It also really helps when the best player on the ice is your own goalie.

By far and away the best game that I have seen the Falcons play in nearly 40 years and if they can repeat with their speed, winning puck battles along the boards, and barrage of shots on net, they could give the Chestnut Hillbillies a scare on Friday at the UNH-hosted semifinal game in the SNHU Arena.

Betcha that some UNH players attended the Garden and will be at SNHU this coming weekend.

Snives, I'm thinking it might be a good opportunity for yours truly to (at least temporarily) jump on the Bentley bandwagon and catch our Falsons against the Original BC on Friday at SNHU. How are ticket sales looking so far?

All session tix limited. Both single days have good availability in the ends. My educated guess is the upper seats are not currently on sale so not close to a sell out. I'd wait, buy day of at the box office and save the fees. I'm on the Bentwagon!

edit: I was hoping for the old school BC/HC match up.

UNH will most likely have a suite at SNHU like I've in the past. Last one I remember seeing DU and some players. See you there?

I bought a seat for Friday in section 119, row E, for $109 plus $35 fees from Ticketshafter online this morning. Section 119 is on a sideline goal line; apparently no sideline seats remain between the goal lines as the Chestnut Hillbillies probably grabbed most of those seats long ago.

I do not like the sight lines from the corner sections where seats are going a bit cheaper for $80-90, plus fees, of course. There were also seats available at both ends for about the same price as mine. As Darius notes, the upper bowl seats have not gone on sale yet, but I suspect that they will later in the week, which has been the case in past regionals anyway, although I have not been to a NCAA regional or HEA tournament game in almost a decade. With also PC and DU in the late game (5:30), I suspect that lower bowl will sell out soon.

HRef, please keep us posted on any UNH pre-game gatherings outside SNHU arena or inside the arena between games.

Not sure how many Bentley folks will be attending on Friday, but we had a good turn out at Hart Arena last night, which I did not realize until the Falcons took over the game in the second period. What a relief!

Fun fact: Bentley is 2-0-0 all time against BC, with a 4-2 win at Conte on 23 November 2018 (I watched that one with Bentley colleagues who are BC alums, so they were win-win for that game, as opposed to all the BC-UNH games at Conte that I attended with them) and a 6-2 win at the Bentley Arena on 16 October 2021.

NoDak fires their head coach. Year left on his deal. Good for them.

After 10 seasons, 227-119-35 overall record, 2016 national championship, Berry not returning behind North Dakota bench

“Berry guided North Dakota to 10 winning seasons, amassing a 227-119-35 overall record to rank fourth all-time in program history in wins. He also captured five NCHC Penrose Cups, one NCHC Frozen Faceoff crown, five NCAA tournament appearances and became the first and only head coach in NCAA Division I men’s hockey history to win a national title in his first season in 2015-16.”

Different standard. Think UNH can afford him? His one national championship came with Dave Hakstol’s players who Dave Hakstol could not win a national championship with.

The stench on this program in close to overwhelming, from almost any angle you look. Pathetic...
