Re: UML 2011/2012 Season Thread
Why did they leave the team?
Why did they leave the team?
From what I was told, there will likely be a couple of new faces after the break.
Agreed, sorry wasn't trying to imply anything other than he's left Maine. Obviously he could also go back. While he did leave a Hockey East program, he is only playing in the CJ. He still retains eligibility and may just not have found Maine as a great fit. Clearly speculating on that, but at least it's not a loss to Major Junior.
Does anyone know who the new players are? From what I was told, there will likely be a couple of new faces after the break.

How do you think that goes down? How do they get someone to come in for a year of eligibility and only play half the year? It seems like a bad decision by the player to go that route..
Perhaps other teams did good things. So let me get this straight. Lowell doesn't lose this weekend and stay at 17. I'm calling shenanigans. No respect.![]()
Exactly what Pat said ... it's going to be (and nothing against the kid) an Alec Butler type of player, most likely. How do you think that goes down? I'd like to pass along the same thoughts!Just wanted to wish my fellow Lowell alums/fans Happy Holidays. Best wishes everyone.
I'd love to see them continue to find ways to get people in. It's obvious (so far) that the students have picked up on what this team is doing, so that's a great start.Monty: Great stuff about the attendance so far this season. A good showing down in Connecticut will only help keep the attendance up in the new year.
Happy Holidays to all.
Patman, What's it like watching a game at the UConn rink? Is the rink comfortable or is it cold/freezing? I just want to make sure I'm dressed right if I'm spending 4 plus hours in the place each day.
Wonderful.Cold enough but not unbearable... If it's warm out prepare like you are ice fishing... Not usually an issue
Merry Christmas to all UML Hockey players, fans ,hockey staff and their families. May God bless you all. Go Riverhawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
