At least you don't have to head thru the mountains to Burlington!

Might be going on Saturday. Trying to figure that out.
I'm still planning on going, but the weather definitely could put a crimp in the plans.

Stunning result with UMass losing to Bentley in the final of the UConn Tournament 4-1 tonight. And Maine's starting to get a bit scary, beating #3 CC tonight and winning that Tournament.

I can't wait to read The Ice Is Life's weekend review after that result tonight down in Connecticut.:D

Oh... and only the 2nd tournament I've missed at the Connecticut Ice Shelf since 2004... the other I was in Charlotte for a bowl game... man i would have loved to have been there "Loser! Loser! Loser! Luuhoooser!!!"... sure UConn got drowned 7-0 by Union (eh... seen worse... BGSU 9-1) but that would have made my night.

Its been a good day. :p

Sad news from USHR:
Ned Bunyon, 73, Dies Unexpectedly

Former Boston College forward and long-time hockey official Ned Bunyon died unexpectedly last night at his Belmont, Mass. home. He was 73.

Bunyon, in recent years a supervisor of officials, was on the job until the end. This typist was talking to him on Monday at the Nichols--Belmont Hill Tournament, and he was looking great. Several college coaches saw him yesterday at the BB&N Tournament.

His death came as a result of a fall in his home. He was on a blood thinner, and reportedly broke an artery in the brain.

Getting ready to leave for Dartmouth in a couple hours. Hope some of you can make it!

Re: UML '09/'10 Season Thread

Congrats to Carter Hutton by the way for breaking the school shutout record with his ninth.

I don't really like to make fun of a team when it's down ... but wow, UMass got smoked 7-3 by BU tonight, even though they had a whopping 12 power plays (and three 5-on-3s according to what I heard).
