But isn't it up to the coaching staff to make sure a team is "on" night in and night out? (I'm just askin'). These aren't professional athletes who have learned to get "up" for every game, start to finish, nor is it an individual or two who seems to be slacking. To me "finding it within themselves" is an individual thing, i.e. if one guy is slacking he probably needs to look inside himself and adjust. But if an issue is team-wide, isn't it a bigger issue?
I'm a big proponent of the "coach gets way too much credit when then win, way too much blame when they lose" thing in professional sport but I think in college sports it's a bit different.
I don't think anyone doubts the talent is there, that's why those of us who are frustrated feel the way we do.....
