UMass Lowell: 2023-24 Season

I'm also worried about goaltending depth, as Bazin is going to have to fill the second spot with someone (probably in the portal). Will there be a goal scorer that will truly develop that's currently in the program or can they find someone in the portal? Are Nimic, Parks, Delaney and Cook enough additions to the offensive side of things. The defense has started to struggle a bit trying to pick up the slack for the offense, will they get better with their two additions? Next year, IMHO, isn't going to be that much better.

Regarding goaltending, does Henry Welsch have another (Covid) year of eligibility?

Anyone who played that year also got an extra season, because it was a shortened season and several teams opted not to play at all, so yes, Welsch can come back next year if he wants to.

Meehan was given a 1-game suspension by Hockey East for the hit last night.
 
UML has the 4th worst win-loss record in the entire D1. Followed only by Harvard (originally ranked in top 20 at beginning of season), Lindenwood, and Stonehill. All real good company. lol.
 
Thought I posted this yesterday, but I guess I didn't. Tsongas used to be a stronghold for Lowell, but the winter teams have been utter garbage there this season. Hockey 1-8-1, MBB 0-2, WBB 0-1. Gross.
 
You could see this coming a couple of years ago how could Coach let it get this bad we’re in such a mess we are not even competitive.with most teams so bummed out

WBB isn't exactly winning awards this season. I plan on going up to UMBC tomorrow for the basketball game.
 
The battle for last place begins tonight. Lowell coming in on a 5-game losing streak (all in league play). Their last Hockey East win was at Vermont, 2-1.

Hockey is 0-5-1 in their last 6 at Tsongas. The building record is a 7-game winless streak (0-6-1), 11/17/06-1/26/07. Since they played 2 games at Tully during that streak, they actually went 0-8-1 at home, and the 9-game home winless streak is the longest in program history.
 
So.... nothing saying we can't have a tournament between us and Harvard, right. Because we can beat harvard
