UMass Lowell: 2023-24 Season

That'll probably cost him some money.

I hate to say it, but refs have been extremely bad this season.... they missed a LOT of calls on friday... the first interference call shouldve been an embellishment as well. As i didnt watch the game saturday... I'd think they were calling the game pretty loose as well.

Goalie. Goalie goalie.
The league leader in HE play in goals against ... is Henry Welsch. I'm not sure what your point is. While goal hasn't been consistent (and I still contend that the lack of offense is hurting play on the back end), the biggest problem is offense where we are dead last in the league. We need scoring. Like I said before the season started.

Last home game of a miserable season. I'm sure Scott has the records, but I wonder when the last time was that we had such a terrible home record (only 2 wins going into tonight).

On a positive couple of notes: women's lacrosse is off to an impressive 7-0 start, which is already tied for the most wins in a season for the program. Tomorrow afternoon basketball hosts UMBC in the quarterfinals of the AE Tournament. Lowell swept UMBC during the regular season.

Last home game of a miserable season.

Yup, a miserable season. I expected Hockey East would be very tough this season with teams like Maine, UNH and UVM improving, but I would never have guessed the Hawks would be sitting at 8-21-4 entering the last weekend of the regular season. Hopefully they get a good crowd tonight to honor the seniors. Both games are on NESN this weekend.

Thanks Scott. I had a feeling but I wasn't sure if there were worse season earlier in the HE days.

Sadly, it's now almost time to keep an eye on the transfer portal and see who choose to leave in a week or so. Lowell alum Biily Riga's Holy Cross squad has already had 5 players jump into the portal.

Glad that season is over. Hopefully the new assistant coach doing the recruiting brings in better transfer students.

I wonder how many lineup changes we'll see tonight after last night's effort. Norm didn't seem so happy with the effort. At this point why not play the guys that will be coming back next season, or at least make the players earn a spot in the lineup for Wednesday's game.

It took OT but Lowell beat UMBC in basketball today. They host Bryant Tuesday in the semifinal, another team they swept during the regular season.

Also, Lowell women's lacrosse won again today improving to 8-0, the most wins they've ever had. Their top two scorers are both freshmen.

Tonight's lineup changes.

In: Crasa, Collins, Silkalns and Cardona.
Out: Moreiello, Horn, Grandowicz and Kilcullen.

More of the same, 3-0 UNH after 2. Out classed all weekend. Wow, I can't believe the refs didn't call a major on that hit on Scout Truman. Hopefully he's ok as he needed help going to the locker room.

Andy and Bob said they had a look at the replay between the period and the Truman hit was a good call. He was hit in the chest before the head, only a minor.
