BDN posting that the Berzins suspension decision has been reversed and now he’s eligible to play immediately. However still won’t come to Orono until next fall.

The NCAA at their best....not. Oh well not much to say other then most likely Berzins loses out on a season of some experience in D1 hockey....

That might be a good sign for Duda?

We’re 3 days out from the season and still no final ruling on Duda. Odd situation for all parties involved. If Duda is ruled ineligible and with the NCAA dropping the ball on the Berzins ruling, I think we will have a bone to pick with the NCAA.

Either way, I’m super pumped for this year. Expectations are high, as they should be. The rest of hockey east got a lot better so I’m interested to see how it shakes out. I still stand by my earlier prediction of Maine in the top 4 and in the tourney. Really excited to get a look at this Nadeau-Breen-Nadeau line if it happens. Also really excited to see them zip the puck around on the PP.

The Duda situation has been dragging way too long/imo...but what stinks is the ruling on Berzins. I mean they go one way then double back...a real spotty showing by the NCAA, bottom line why can't they do there jobs...oh maybe because that's the way they run there house....p-poor.

Im going to be looking to see how goal tending is and team resiliency. See how they respond to losing games they shouldnt and games they really wanted.

RPI looks to be almost sold out. When was the last time we had high turnout for out of conf games, been a while. Fan base os surely energized, hope it can stay sustained through a few tough patches.

I mean, the NCAA just ruled a UNC wide receiver eligible five games into the football season. They are consistent.

Yet another reversal of an awful original decision by the completely inept NCAA. The UNC kid was a two transfer player, but he never played a snap at the 2nd school thanks to Covid....and yet the stuffed suits managed to eff that up and rule the kid ineligible, only to reverse course five games into the season.

He’s not on Heisenberg’s list yet but Elite Prospects has a Landon Wright listed as a 2025 commit. Has 15 points in 12 games this year he’s in the OJHL

Heres a scouting report on him. “Connor McDavid like style of play”. I guess we’ll see.

That’s encouraging. It would be nice to see Maine consistently get good players from Ontario again.

I took a quick look and it appears Kuzma, Lambert, and Remick are all off to decent starts this year. On top of that Cisar is playing on Fargo’s top line.

Josh Nadeau opens the scoring. 1-0 Maine

Nice passing sequence from Breen to B. Nadeau to J. Nadeau on the doorstep. Can definitely get used to seeing that this season!
