Those are from College Hockey Weekly. I expect the WCHA to name Connolly the PotY to boost his Hobey chances.

I know they are, I said that in my post. I assume they will, would be tuff if Schultz was a sr, putting up mad points on the point and on a bad team.

Yea and they also have Maine as a #2 seed at Worster with BC as the top seed in their brachtology. They also have BU as a #3 out west. Fortunately that means almost nothing at this point. Just keep us out of BC's brackett.

Stumbled upon this. Hard to believe. Look at some of the plus/minus's. We'll never see anything like it again.

Something else we're not likely to see again is a national championship team that has a starting goalie with a .840 save percentage (Mike Dunham, 25 games played, 63 GA, 529 saves, record - 21-1-1).

Re: UMaine - 2011-2012 Season Thread (cont) - Beating Back the Internuts ?

Guess when you score 773 goals and the opponents score 259, you can have a save percentage of .840 and still be 21-1-1.
Only game I went to at the Alfond that year was that damm BU game, ouch!!!

Never mind Maine's goaltending stats. Have a look at the opponents' numbers.

.821 SvPct
6.43 GAA :D

you misread the page... maine scored 292 goals and gave up 108... maine had 773 total points to their opponents 259

How about this: Maine gave up 33 power play goals. But scored 21 shorties. Over 901 penalty minutes, that is 75.1 penalty minutes per net pk goal allowed. Compare that to 87 power play goals, 4 shorties allowed over 950 penalty minutes: 11.5 penalty minutes per net power play goal scored.

That team was so much fun to watch.

So does Kariya hold the alltime high in points with 100 and does Ingraham have the goals in a season record with 46?

I mean alltime NCAA div 1 records.

No. Tony Hrkac scored 116 points in 1986-1987. Kariya's 100 points ranks 12th for most points in a single season. Kariya's 75 assists are the 2nd most all time though, just 1 behind Wayne Gagne's 76 from 1987 (Hrkac had 46 goals, 70 assists in '86-'87).

The year before Hrkac's record season, Mike Donnelly from Michigan State scored 59 goals. Ingraham's 46 goals are tied for the 23rd most goals in a single season. 10 players have put up 50+ goals in a single season. I don't think anyone has put up more than 46 though since Ingraham did it in '93.

It was known as the "Hrkac circus" (Hrkac is pronounced her-kiss) and I still remember when they arrived in Orono that year. If I am not mistaken Bob Joyce was a winger on Tony's line, and I also believe Maine won that game in December of 86. Was the last game I saw before my first daughter was born who has since graduated from Maine!

That had to be the game where there was a bench clearing all out brawl at the end of the game. HUGE win for Maine and the program at that time....fans kind of went wild on that one. :) I wuz there and will never forget the emotion.

Yep, the Hrkac circus.
